With Summer upon us, now is the time to start planning a Summer getaway for you and the kids. When I pick a vacation spot the first thing I look for is a place that the entire can family can do to and have plenty to do to enjoy the trip. I like kid friendly activities and also adult night life. It has to be warm and family friendly. I was recently introduced to Virginia Beach and it looks amazing. I would love to take my family there.
Ten reasons why I would want to visit Virginia Beach with my family:
- A great getaway-A place you can take the entire family and have plenty to do. I love vacations where there is something for everyone to enjoy.
- Beach fun-You can parasail or just soak up the sun on the beach. Make a sand castle and watch the waves as they come in. Even take in a beautiful sunset at dusk.
- Fishing-My hubby loves to fish, and so does our son. With great spots to catch the big one, they are sure to have a good ole’ time. An angler’s paradise. With freshwater places, they would have a blast.
- Shopping, Shopping, and more Shopping! I just love to shop. I can shop my heart out, if only my wallet could accomodate it.
- Museums-I love museums. It’s such a great way to teach our children, when they don’t even realize it. This area is rich in history and would make a great teaching tool all while on vacation.
- Wellness-Just taking in all the beauty. From beaches that stretch miles and miles, to nature trails where you can enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Sign me up! You can take a hike with the family or just walk along the sandy beach and feel the sand between your toes.
- Dining-I love dining on local cuisine. Seafood is also in abundance on Virginia Beach. What a great way to unwind from all your playing on the beach with a nice dinner with the spouse.
- Golf-With over 198 holes, the man in your life is sure to love this sport while vacationing.
- Activities for the kids-From visiting the Virginia Aquarium, playing in the water and sand on the beach, to watching an IMAX movie. The kids are sure to love this vacation.
- Busch Gardens-How about a roller coaster thrill at Busch Gardens. I have always wanted to go, now I can near Virginia Beach. My hubby would love this stop and so would the kids.
So load up the kids or hop on a plane and head to Virginia Beach. You are certain the have the best Summer vacation and one that the whole family will remember for years and years to come. Make sure to pack your camera so you can take pictures of all the wonderful places it boosts and for that family scrapbook!
