Scent Of A Woman {Sow Good Beauty #Review & #Giveaway}

We believe it’s true that you reap what you sow. So we’ve made the choice to sow good. Good for you and good for the world we share.  Please join us in our mission to sow good. We love what we do and we hope that you will be as passionate about our products as we are! ~ Sow Good Using natural beauty products are important to me.  With sensitive skin, I’ve battled many issues like dryness and irritation through the years which I tend to believe have been caused by the countless beauty products I’ve used with chemicals and preservatives in their compounds.  Surprisingly, even dermatologists are quick to guide you to the latest miracle chemical cream.  No thank you!  I think it’s often forgotten that the skin is an organ…….would you spread preservatives over your heart or kidney??

Sure, I understand that most people want results right away, and man made chemicals can help with that, however, I’ve noticed just as good of a result with the removal of these substances in the natural products I use. One of the newest lines of wonderful natural products I’ve discovered are from Sow Good, a company who believes in reaping what they sow.  Sow Good’s line of fragrance meets certification of the Natural Products Association which requires strict sourcing of truly natural ingredients.  Each of their four fragrances; Generosity, Happiness, Faith and Harmony use essential oils and organic sugar cane alcohol to create a unique scent.  They are free from sulfates, phthalates, parabens, propylene glycol, artificial color, petroleum and gluten.  I’ve used various natural creams and lotions, but never a perfume!  I was excited to try both the Generosity and Happiness Eaux De Parfum Sprays.

Generosity has a clean, light, earthy aroma.  I like that it is subtle, not overpowering.  It contains notes of green tea, sea grass and tea tree.  Generosity is a nice everyday kind of perfume.  Happiness had a sweeter floral blend.  I work with, and adore, flowers, so I immediately detected the smell of rose in the blend.  Peach, green pear and vanilla were also notes I picked up.  Happiness is lovely to spritz on when I’m feeling girly and ready to go out.  Both fragrances were different from my other perfumes in that I didn’t get that strong alcohol burst when I sprayed them.  Have you ever sprayed your perfume in the air and then walked into the spray to avoid being over saturated?  No need to do that with Sow Good fragrance.  I applied it directly on and wasn’t overcome.  I particularly like to spray it on my clothing for a hint of freshness.  Sow good also sells each fragrance in an easy to apply and store rollerball for fragrance revival during the day.

Sow good carries a line of 3-in-1 multitasking gels that offer the same fragrances as their perfume as well as a fragrance free body polish.  Use in the bath or shower for a refreshing clean.  As a shampoo, it has a light lather, so don’t wonder where the suds are!  I found that it made both my hair and body soft and lightly scented.
While browsing through the Sow Good website I found an article about layering fragrance to make it last longer. By using a combination of both 3-in-1 body gel and fragrance spray you’ll maintain a satisfying scent throughout the day!

Sow Good’s tips for layering fragrance:

It’s hard to find a good balance between a fragrance that’s going to overpower everyone in the room and one that is so faint that you can’t smell it after an hour.  The trick to maintaining a subtle, yet pleasant, scent throughout the day is to layer your fragrance.  Layering involves using a bath or shower gel, and a lotion or fragrance, with the same scent.  If you’re concerned about chemicals in traditional personal care products, you may not be so eager to layer them on.  But thanks to Sow Good, you don’t have to worry about piling on possibly harmful additives.
