Real Moms DIY: No Sew Curtains

Lately I have had a real “get crafty and make something” mood come over me! I was standing in my kitchen/family room looking at my boring windows. I have wanted to do a window treatment for my windows since we moved into our home…….and I said to myself “I AM GOING TO DO IT NOW!” And first off let me tell you this is a NO SEW window treatment because I don’t own a sewing machine. Anyone can do this project and get a professional looking window treatment (and yes if you are a seamstress you can do this project too).

Supply List:

Fabric (I highly recommend Premier Prints Fabric) They have a lot of different designs and it is high quality stuff here. You are sure to find the perfect fabric to match your room. Just look at a few of their gorgeous prints:

  • Heat N Bond Ultra Hold (no sew hem tape)
  • Iron
  • Scissors
  • Curtain Rod

Optional:

Hooks for hanging your fabric. Or you can also just thread the seam through the bar and hang. Your preference here.

TWO EASY STEPS:

1: First measure out your fabric for the size window you want to treat. Make sure to account for the seams by adding a few inches. I added 4-6 inches for the top and bottom so I could make a nice seam.
2: Lay your designer fabric out on the floor and apply your Hem Tape around your edges. I left my side edges raw as I liked the look of the fabric. I then attached my ring clips evenly spaced along my curtain.
