I love the hoidays and I find it hard to believe that Thanksgiving is in a matter of days! Where has the time gone!? There are several things that make it “feel” like the holidays to me; songs, decorations, and especially smells. I’m not sure what it is about certain scents, but they can bring those special holiday memories flooding back. When the new Holiday Coffee Flavors from Dunkin’ Donuts are brewing, the aromas are sure to spark some holiday memories from your past! One of my favorite memories from my childhood are from when we lived in Kansas when I was in elementary school. We would always get lots of snow in the winter and my brother and I would walk to the school by our house to sled down the hill.

He would walk together pulling our plastic red sled; throwing snowballs, singing songs and just having fun together. We would sled down the giant hill over and over again laughing and shrieking with delight as the sled would glide down the hill and the wind would kiss our cheeks with her icy lips. It was such a thrill and after a successful sledding adventure we would both be so exhausted and cold! My brother would usually pull me home in the sled {he was and still is the best big brother ever!} and when we got home we would have to take off layers of cold and wet clothing before coming inside…boots, socks, snowsuits, coats, hats, gloves. Once back home and warming up we would make hot chocolate and add marshmallows. The warmth of the hot chocolate always was the best way to warm ourselves up and we would snuggle under a blanket and drink our cocoa. I am so thankful to have such wonderful memories of my childhood with my brother. We have always been so close and I am so thankful I had him looking out for me when we were growing up.
