A Great Family Getaway! GreatGetaways

With Spring coming soon, I am starting to get spring fever! I want to start planning a family vacation for us to getaway to somewhere fun. I first decided that I wanted to go somewhere warm. Florida or California popped into my head.  started researching some fun places that we can take our family too. With sooo many options out there for vacations I narrowed it down to a few that I think would be fun.

Disneyland in California

I have to admit that I am definitely a big kid at heart. I love Disney. I love the characters, the movies, the themes that it sports. What a fun vacation. We could spend 3 or 5 days at both the Disneyland Park and also California Adventures. I was reading on their website and they have a Toy Story ride at the California Adventures park that my little guy would flip over. He loves Toy Story.

DisneyWorld in Florida

While it is a lot farther away I have heard that the parks are a blast. So much to do thought, that I worry about not having enough time to cover all the parks and ground. I am thinking this would be a fun destination maybe when the kids are older.

SeaWorld

I love the zoo so to see all the fun aquatic animals would be a blast. I think that my little guy who is two would enjoy seeing the animals, but I am unsure if we could last a whole day there. Maybe this would be a great half day excursion for us.

Six Flags

While this destination would be fun….I am a bit weary about all the roller coasters. Sometimes when I go on them I get a bit sick. So I think I would send my hubby with his friends/family off to this park for the day and I would stay at the hotel or Disneyland for the day. I wouldn’t want to get sick. This park is definitely themed for older children/adults.

The Beach

I would love to take my family to the beach. It is so beautiful and such a fun memory for me as a child. Every year my parents took us to California and we always made a stop at the beach. We would look for small seashells and build a sand castle. Then we would brave the cold water and jump in the waves.
