Keep Talkin’ Oh Keep Talkin’ {Greased Lightning Multipurpose review}

 

I will be the first person to admit I don’t like to clean my own house. Some people enjoy cleaning, find it therapeutic, a time for thinking, whatever… Not me! I will say though that if I get good and mad at my Hubby, I tend to go into a cleaning frenzy! We don’t get too upset at each other though, so my house doesn’t get that fringe benefit very often! I think part of my problem may be that I have never found products that actually make cleaning easy. Cleaning? Easy? More like endless hours scrubbing stuff that never seems to come all the way off… like the grime that gets caught  in the microwave vents? Ya’ll  know what I’m talking about?? :-) Well, my life was recently changed. I discovered Greased Lightning Orange Blast back in the summer. I threw all my kitchen woes at it and it worked like a dream. Caked on kitchen grime begone!! It practically wiped off!! Well, knowing how well that G.L worked, I jumped at the chance to try Greased Lightning multipurpose! I am getting my house ready to be gone for three weeks, and Saturday was bathroom day. I grabbed my G.L. and off I went. The bottle says it can:

  • Cut through grime on stove vents, ovens and microwaves.
  • Remove red wine, pet stains and dirt from everyday traffic on carpets.
  • Use as a laundry pretreat for tough stains including grease, grass and ink.
  • Tackle soap scum and mildew stains in the shower.
  • Revitalize patio furniture by removing dirt and outdoor debris.

I decided to see how it stacks up in the bathroom. I was very impressed. I used it to clean my sinks and floors… yes… it took the hairspray residue that tends to buildup on the floor right off! It shined my chrome and cleaned effortlessly. I even used it to clean my tub and it made the “tub ring” that I hadn’t even noticed until right before I cleaned it disappear! Very, very impressive!  It would make a great addition to have in your arsenal to tackle all those messes that come with the holidays! It would even make a great white elephant gift too!! :-) I haven’t had a chance to try it for other things yet, but I read through some of the testimonials from other users and here’s what they are saying! It took lipstick out of whites that had already been washed AND dried in the dryer! Now that is impressive!! I will definitely be adding this to my arsenal of cleaning products… it may well replace most of my other things! Cordless Convenience {Sony Vaio and Microsoft Touch Mouse Review}

Are you one of those people whose life revolves around electronics?  Are you addicted to your phone, tablet, or laptop?  Do you always have something to “plug in” within arms reach?  I wouldn’t say that I am “addicted” but I am totally lost without the convenience of the Internet and my phone.  How many times do you ask, “Where is the closest ____?” and you just pull out your smart phone, tablet, or laptop and look it up?!  I do that all the time!  I have never known the convince of a laptop until Sony gave e the opportunity to review  the Vaio laptop.  I have been so impressed with this darling “little” electronic. I had never realized how inconvenient my desktop was until I got the laptop.  I am forever toting it around with me.

One thing thing that I have done this year that I haven’t done so much in the past, is order Christmas gifts online.  I have gotten a few little things here and there, but this year I have bought more then I ever have.  It is so easy to pull your laptop out while you eat breakfast, log in, and order. Once you order, you can watch and track the order, too.  LOVE it!!  Oh, the conveniences of life!  It does make it so I am not aware of all of the money I am spending, though. :(

Speaking of conveniences, you know how when you use a desktop and you need to get to another screen, you conveniently grab that mouse and move the cursor to where ever you want it.  I don’t find the little mouse screen, pad thing on a laptop as convenient…it is nice to have the ability to have it all compact in one, but sometimes you just want to grab a real mouse and start clicking.  Here is the answer.  The Microsoft Touch Mouse is a great addition to any laptop or any computer for that matter.  I love when I am doing any kind of “project” where I am sitting at a desk or table, I pull out the mouse and off I go.  I love that there is no cord.  You simply plug in a tiny USB plug into the computer and DONE!  It is so easy, even I could do it!  This would be a perfect gift for anyone with a compute…laptop or not!  It is small, sleek, cordless and PERFECT!

My kids have found a new love for the little pink laptop, too.  If I am not writing a review, checking email, or paying bills (in order of my favorite to least favorite things to do online) my kids are fighting over whose turn it is.  Hailee and April like to play games and Austin likes to watch movies on Netflix. Mia, she is quickly learning how to use a computer and get around on websites.

I am still in love with my little Vaio.  I have recommended it to many friends.  I am constanly bragging about my cute little pink laptop to any anyone who will listen :) Real Mom Approved!!

So Long, Stinker! {NOse Offense Review}

I have a dog.  She is the cutest little thing in the whole world.  Max and I hang out every day after work.  She loves to go for walks, eat treats, and play with her toys.  She is a great little buddy and always so happy.

We got Max from a pet store.  There, they started to potty train her by having a litter box in her living area.  This was the first time I had ever seen a dog litter box trained.  My husband and I both work fill time so after getting Max we decided to continue litter box training her so she could go potty while we were gone for 8 hours.  Little dogs have little bladders and we didn’t think she could hold it the whole time we were at work.

As silly as it sounds we love having Max litter box trained.  We don’t have to wake up to take her outside in the middle of the night.  We don’t have to freeze in the cold so she can go potty in the winter.  Max just goes and does her thing when she needs to.  BINGO!

The only bummer part is, like cats, unless we keep her litter box clean, you can smell that we have a litter box trained dog.  Not always a glamorous smell.  We constantly clean it out and a lot of times we have to do it right away.

The best part is we don’t have to clean the litter box ASAP anymore.  After Max goes potty we just spray once and we are good to go.  Now we only clean her box at the end of the day.  What a time saver!  Ideal for a gagging pregnant woman too!  Makes it easier for me, plus, I don’t gag on the smell…because there isn’t one!

Great uses for Q-tips?

I started thinking about all the ways that I use Q-tips, and I realized that I use them almost everyday.  From fixing my mascara under my eyes to cleaning my ears they are part of my daily routine.  I also use them for cleaning the grime around the base of the sink and even for art projects.  With a new baby at home I recently used them for cleaning his belly button.  So many uses, I don’t know how I would live without them. :)
