I was so excited to receive a 12X12 photo canvas from Canvas HQ! Photo canvases are one of my favorite ways to display my family photographs around our home. I love that they are perfect and can stand alone; no frame, no matting, just a simply beautiful photo to hang on a wall or place on a shelf. I chose one of my all time favorite photos of Hollis to have printed on the canvas. He was only a few days old when I snapped it, and it has always been one I love to look at. The whole online process with Canvas HQ was quite simple. I easily uploaded my photo to the site, chose the size, and ordered. Within a day I had a proof sent to my email account for approval. I did have a question about the print, which I asked through e-mail and quickly received a response. I love how personalized they make your experience. You have a designer working with you available to answer any questions you might have about your canvas. When my canvas arrived {quickly, I might add!} in the mail, it was nicely packaged and in perfect condition. Sending lots of love! {Hallmark Review & Giveaway!}

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I have always loved it; just a fun day to celebrate love and all the people around you that you care about. With Valentine’s Day less than a week away, I know lots of men and women are out running around searching for the perfect cards and gifts for their loved ones; gifts that will say and show just how they feel! My favorite place to shop on Valentine’s Day, or any holiday for that matter is Hallmark! The Blooming Expression is going to be perfectly sweet way for Ava to show her preschool teacher how much she cares about her! I love that I will be able to record my voice reading them one of my all time favorite children’s books, Love You Forever. It is such a precious story and one I always get emotional when reading! Ava loves it, too and I know she is going to think it is pretty cool to hear me reading her the story whenever she wants…even if I get a little choked up! The Sifter, Sorter, Store-er {Box4Blox Review}

My little guy, Austin, is a Lego fanatic! He loves to create according to the directions and make his creation look just like the picture, but he also likes to create on his own. He loves all of the different sizes and colors. He will sit in his room for hours creating something amazing. I love the fact that he uses his imagination and his brain as he works on his masterpieces. What I don’t love (or even like) is the huge mess that comes with building with Legos. There are so many little pieces that get dropped, lost, or just plain dumped out. Problem solved!! Box4Blox!

This 10 1/4″ inch cube is made of the same plastic that Lego uses for its pieces, so it is super high quality! Austin loves the bright colors and thought the “sifting” part of the boxes were “super cool.” I agree with my 8 year old 100% percent (for once:)) Our Lego storage has been and issue for a while now. We have tried saving the boxes they come in only to have them fall apart and we ended up losing Legos out of the bottom of the boxes. We tried plastic container- we ended up having Legos all over the floor while the search went on for the smaller Legos hiding in the bottom and corners of that box. The Box4Blox has perfect sorting trays so all of the smaller blocks fall through leaving the largest on the top getting smaller and smaller with each tray. I do wish the box had some way of clicking together or having a carrying handle, but after reading up on the product, I found out why there isn’t one. Due to the fact that the Box4Blox can hold up to about 1600 legos, there is a weight issue. With that many Legos, the box can get heavy and the best way to carry it is from the bottom for the most support. They did say you will only pick it up wrong once Make sure you watch the YouTube video of the Box4Blox, it gives you a better idea of how genius this is!! One of my favorite parts of the Box4Blox is that is made in the USA! I also love that it was invented by a couple who had one too many spills of Legos and Ta-Da!! The Box4Blox was born! This is the perfect addition to any child’s Lego collection! No wonder it was voted New Home Organizing Product of the Year! It would make an incredible gift…any mom would thank you over and over! The Box4Blox deserves my two thumbs way up, and they get Austins two thumbs even higher up….and my vacuum thanks you, too!! REAL MOM APPROVED!!

I think this is what we are going to do for Ava’s friends at school! I know they will all love these multicolor crayon hearts! & I can finally find a way to use the bucket of broken crayons that’s been hanging around our house!

What’s in a name? {Birthday Keepsakes review & giveaway}

When it comes to birthday presents, I really love to give something that has meaning. Depending on the person, that can be super hard… Dad!! Hello- does anyone actually have a Dad that is easy to shop for, except for maybe those who like to golf or other such sports! One person who is super easy to shop for is my little peanut!! Quirky, fun finds! {Knock Knock Review}

I was quick to fall in love with Knock Knock and their quirky and fun product line when I gifted my sweet niece their This or That book for Christmas! I was so excited to give it to her and she was thrilled to receive it! It’s a simple book with cute illustrations and on each page offers a choice between two things and then asks for details about the one you choose! Cute and I think it kept her a bit busy over the holiday break, too! I stumbled upon it in a local shop, but had to check out their website. I found so many more unique items I would love to have myself and will also keep up my sleeve as gift giving ideas for friends, young and old!

I was so excited to receive a couple of my favorite items from Knock Knock; something for the small ones and something for myself! Yay! Knock Knock generously sent my littles their Let’s Pretend Pad; A notepad that encourages your child to use their imagination and create a pretend play idea! It is totally cute and Ava has loved thinking up fun pretend play ideas using her Let’s Pretend Pad as a guide {with my help, too, of course}! Since we received it, it has quickly become her favorite play activity; she has quite a wild imagination and I love how it shines through when she is creating these wild pretend ideas! They also included a few pages of various stickers at the back, which we all know is pretty much the key to any child’s heart! Definitely a sweet touch to an already fantastic product! I also love that I can keep these funny little play scenarios in her baby book and we can look back on them as she gets older! I was so happy to receive the Money Spent Pocket Notes; a nifty little pocket pad small enough to fit in your purse or pocket allowing you to track your money and see where the cash in your wallet is spent. I am on a mission this year to spend less and save more; really keep a close eye on my spending. It seems like cash just dissapears from my wallet these days and I am happy to have this little book to help me track it all and see exactly where it is going. I’m sure it will make me a bit more aware of my spending and help me to make better decisions with our money! Knock Knock has so many amazing products, everything from sticky notes, note pads, stationary, journals, even specialty flash cards {Slang Flashcards to be specific, that can help you learn & understand the tricky tongue of the teens! Love is in the air! {Dora the Explorer: Dora Loves Boots DVD Review}

Dora Loves Boots. But really, who doesn’t?! Dora’s adorable little sidekick is super cute, spunky and oh-so loyal!Dora Loves Boots, from Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment highlights the special friendship between Dora and her best friend Boots with 4 adventurous episodes! The DVD will also offer parents the opportunity to use the Gramify program and send their kids a free personalized phone call from Dora (limited time offer).

As usual, the kids were super excited when their new Dora the Explorer: Dora Loves Boots DVD arrived in the mail and wanted to watch it straight away! All of the Dora the Explorer DVD’s keep the kids entertained and happy, and this one is no different! What we love about Dora the Explorer episodes is they are very interactive! From the get go, Dora is asking questions of the kids, having them help her and Boots along on an adventure! Every adventure consists of a problem that dora will ask your child to help her solve! They will usually refer to Map to help them along their way! Ava loves “the Map” song! It’s too cute watching and listening to my kids as they watch Dora; answering her questions and singing along to many of the songs! Both of my children loved watching Dora Loves Boots!

Boots’ First Bike
Boots is really excited because soon he’ll be getting his very first big bike.  The Delivery Duck flies in with a postcard of a shiny yellow 2-wheeler bike for Boots.  His new bike is finally ready to be picked up and he can’t wait!  It’s going to be a series of “first” adventures as Baby Blue Bird takes her first flight, Lil’ Piggy sails on her first pirate ship, and Tico’s baby cousins learn how to safely cross the street and make it to the bike shop.

Bouncy Boots
Boots’ favorite boots are back from the Shoe Shop, but when he tries them on, he starts to bounce. Dora and Boots set off to find his favorite boots on a bouncy adventure past the Giant Gates, then across the Snail Bridge where their French friend Amélie teaches them how to play Escargot — a French Hop-Scotch game. They sing all the way to the Shoe Shop, but will Boots’ shoes be there?

¡Vacaciones!
Dora and Boots are meeting Diego and Baby Jaguar for a night of camping under the stars.  Along the way, they run into other friends who are going on vacation too. At the Nutty Forest, Tico and Benny give them a ride on his nut-powered car. Then they help Isa water her vegetable garden before she heads out to the Snowy Mountain.  Before they arrive at the Rainforest Campground, Swiper takes their snacks. Diego and Baby Jaguar come to the rescue in a canoe and together retrieve the snacks and row all the way to the Campground.

The Bed Red Chicken’s Magic Wand
The Big Red Chicken is doing magic tricks and he turns Boots into a chicken!  When he tries to turn Boots back into a monkey, his beak starts to twitch and he lets out a big sneeze that sends the wand flying off into Magic Land.  Big Red Chicken accidentally lands on his wand and breaks it!  On the way to the Wand Shop they play a picture puzzle game to go through the Magic Mirrors, a math game to get the Giant Dice to disappear and then do a scarf trick to enter the Wand Shop.

FOUR days. Yes, the countdown is on at our house and for once, I am not scrambling around trying to find last minute gifts. Wahoo! However, if you find yourself running those last minute holiday errands & wrapping up loose ends; Moon Dough makes a perfect gift for children. Moon Dough generously sent my children the Moon Dough Breakfast set! This set includes 2 packs of Moon Dough, 3 Popper Molds and an extra accessory m0ld to create the fun breakfast foods and garnishes. I was super curious to see how this newly formulated Moon Dough was going to hold up. Ava got the Barn Moon Dough set last Christmas and loved it, but the Moon Dough was a crumbly mess. I was in hopes this new formula was going to be way less mess! Of course the kids were pumped about getting started so we quickly got the set opened up and they immediately got to work creating all sorts of breakfast foods with their popper molds! The popper molds are so easy to use and even my 2 year old had them figured out quickly! They seem very similar to a cookie cutter; you flatten out the Moon Dough, place the Popper Mold on top and gently push down to cut out your breakfast food shape! Easy cheesy! I spent the afternoon being served all sorts of breakfast plates from my two little Moon Dough chefs and listening to them giggle and work together while creating the perfect plate for Mommy; so sweet! I am also thrilled to report that the new Moon Dough formula is a huge improvement! It is silky soft, easy to mold and holds together much better. Less mess and tons more fun! Bonus: Moon Dough never dries out, so you can use it again and again! No worries if it doesn’t get put away quickly after play! Moon Dough makes a perfect and affordable gift this Holiday Season!
