Skin Smarts for the Beauty Beginner {Good for you Girls Review and Giveaway}

I can’t believe its been a little more than a decade since the first time I held my precious firstborn baby girl. My, how times have changed…..almost five feet tall and counting, Maddy has outgrown my lap! (I get my lovin’ standing up these days:))
Before my eyes she has went from a rosy cheeked infant to adorable toddler to hitting the emotional highs and lows of adolesence. Everyday she has something new to “teach” me about fashion, music and friendships.
Lately, we have been discussing personal care, and how to establish healthy routines. Good for you Girls skin care could not have stepped in at a better time! They sent their Complete Starter Kit for Miss Maddy to try, and she loved it. How cute she was…. thoroughly reading all the instructions, so she could get it “just right”. Her first expressions were “it smells yummy”, and “my skin feels soft”. I could tell that she felt grown-up, as she mimicked some of the things she sees me doing in my beauty routine. While she was washing, we talked about the importance of keeping her skin clean, (especially when she is sweaty from all
her activities), because the sweat and oil on her skin, when mixed with dirt, could form unwelcome visitors (a.k.a pimples or “redheads” as my youngest calls them:)). I am amazed at how serious Maddy is taking her new routine, washing her face with the Good for you Girls system each night before bed. Sydney joins in the fun too…she is very prissy in front of a mirror though, so her routine looks more like a spa day, complete with hair wrap!
I LOVE that the products Good for you Girls produces are free from harsh chemicals. The skin is our largest organ, and the ingredients (and the chemicals they contain) enter directly into the bloodstream.
