GoodNites® & Confidence! {GoodNites® Prize Pack + $100 AMEX Gift Card Giveaway} #GoodNites

If you are a mom, then I am sure you have or will have to deal with potty training soon! My little guy is almost three and he is just about ready to start using the potty. He has slowly shown signs that he’s getting interested and I am almost ready to tackle the potty training challenge.

I know that potty training will certainly come with it’s fair share of challenges for both of us. For my son he will embrace the challenge, where I will probably struggle since it’s a huge time commitment. We recently had the opportunity to pick up a pack of GoodNites® for him at our local retailer. Once I got them home, I started checking out the GoodNites® website and was very impressed with just how they work. I also was very impressed with their quality. I was able to see them first hand and they really are a great product. These will be great to have on hand once we successfully get him trained during the day and night hours.

Protection for growing kids

GoodNites® Underwear are the most absorbent pant for boys and girls ages 4 and up. Specially made to protect while lying down, they help keep pajamas and bedding dry all night long and feature plush comfort with a discreet design.

  • GoodNites® Products are more absorbent than the leading training pants, to help keep pajamas and sheets dry all night.
  • Dry nights mean parents and kids can enjoy an easy night’s sleep and wake up with confidence.
  • GoodNites® Underwear are made to look, feel and sound like real underwear, so kids ages 4 and up will feel good wearing them – plus they’re specially made to protect kids while lying down.

Potty Training Woes? SuperUndies to the Rescue! {SuperUndies Giveaway} CLOSED

SuperUndiesLogo My girls are on the homestretch on their potty training journey! We’re good at home but they are still afraid of going potty when we go out, and I realized we would need some potty training pants. So reluctantly, I bought some disposable pull-up training pants. Then I heard about Super Undies, the super cloth alternative!

Disposable diapers and training pants take their toll on the environment, and some also think that disposable training pants are actually a hindrance rather than a help in the potty training department. Then there’s the cost to consider! So I was more than happy to give Super Undies a try! We were sent two pairs of Super Undies Pull-On Undies Training Pants for review. They look a lot more like regular underwear compared to the disposable kind (my girls call the disposable ones “diapers” but they call Super Undies “underwear” so there’s your evidence!). A medium fit the girls just right and they were really easy to pull on and off. We have used them when we go out during the day and they’re really absorbent. They are also machine washable so they’re very convenient as well.

I have always wished that I used cloth diapers on my girls (everyone said there was no way with twins, but thinking back, I think could have done it). Now I feel like I have a second chance with these cloth training pants. In addition, my girls like to wear them and consider them more grown-up like underwear. So Super Undies really do save the day!

Potty Training! {Little Looster Giveaway} CLOSED

For all the years when those little legs don’t reach the floor. The Little Looster, a booster for the Loo™ is about to change the way we potty train. The perfect potty stool.Since my little guy is getting ready to potty train, I have been researching the internet for the best potty chair available. When in fact I stumbled upon the Little Looster. I am going to skip the step entirely of having to use a separate potty chair away from the toilet (and the clean up that comes with it) and go straight to using our Little Looster. This will also save us a lot of space in our already small bathroom.

Let me tell you all about the Little Looster. One clever mommy came up with this great invention. It is a horseshoe shaped stool that sits right at the base of the toilet. It features a non slip surface covered in cute L’s. So safety is there. It can stay there forever. No need to move it for the adults to use the bathroom. So my little guy can climb up all on his own and sit comfortably with his legs supporting all the potty training. I love our Little Looster and am so happy that a mom came up with such a great solution to potty training.

Buy your own Little Looster online for $39.99!

Innovations For Modern Parents {Boon Giveaway} CLOSED

Who is Boon?

It’s funny how such a simple thing can lead to so much. It all began with a messy toddler bathtub. Designer Rebecca Finell’s wheels started turning and the Frog Pod was born.

But the problem solving didn’t stop there. She had lots of ideas for other parenting innovations so she sought out a partner, Ryan Fernandez—who could create a successful business—and together they founded Boon Inc. Today Boon offers a wide range of products that help parents all over the world.

We’re committed to creating nothing but the most innovative gear—and keeping it affordable. Our design studio is always in motion, tackling one parenting challenge after another. And don’t forget our commitment to quality and safety. Call us if you have any questions. We want you to be thrilled with our products! Plus, we like hearing from you.

We had the opportunity to try out four different products from Boon:

Potty Bench

This potty bench is perfect for training your little one to use the potty. It features two side storage spaces perfect for toilet paper and moist wipes. It also features a toilet paper roll holder too in one of the drawers. The pull out drawer is excellent for easy clean up for mom and dad after your little one uses it. It also doubles as a step stool when you close the lid, so your little one can use it for brushing their teeth and washing there hands at the sink. I love the design and it fits in perfectly in our bathroom. I highly recommend this potty chair if you are potty training or will be soon

Flo child faucet cover

C Are you ever a nervous nelly when your little one is bathing? I get so nervous about the faucet. I am so afraid of the kids bumping their heads on it and getting hurt. So when I received this Flo faucet cover I immediately put it on. It is perfect for keeping my little ones safe, and they think it is so much fun. It sprays out the water like a waterfall when we fill the bath and it even has a bubble bath dispenser built into it. Perfect for your little ones.

Fluid Toddler Cup

This toddler cup is one of a kind. It features a ergonomic, two handed grip that is perfect for your little kiddos hands. My little guy loves it. He doesn’t have to tip his head back as far to drink and he can keep a hold of it all day. It is such a fun color and definitely keeps him interested in using a cup instead of a bottle.

Catch bowl

This Catch Bowl is a must-have item for any mom and child. When my little one was learning to eat I wish I had had it. The built in food catcher extends toward the child helping the run away food stay in the bowl. No more big messes and great training for the little eater. Plus it has suction cups on the bottom of it to keep it where you want it!

I am always happy to support companies that give back and Boon does just that!

Today, Boon is giving away an awesome prize pack to One Winner!

Here is what you will win: A Potty Bench, A Flo, A Fluid Toddler Cup, & A Catch bowl!

Even Princesses and Pirates Gotta Go Sometime! {Scholastic Princess Potty and Pirate Potty Book Giveaway} CLOSED

PrincessPottyBook PiratePottyBook

“Here-Ye, Here-Ye, I have to go Pee-Pee!” says the Princess.

“Fi-diddle-de-doo, I’ve got to make a Poo-Poo!” says the Pirate.

Princess Potty and Pirate Potty are two books from Scholastic provide a helpful, step-by-step story that introduces girls & boys to the concept of toilet training. Pirate Potty is a pirate-themed, toilet-training book that is fit for the little swashbuckler in your life! The book includes a pirate’s hat and reward stickers! Princess Potty follows the same theme…a toilet-training book that is fit for the Royal Highness in your life! This book includes a tiara and reward stickers!

PiratePrincesPottyBook_Inside

Do you have a Princess or Pirate who’s getting ready to use the potty soon? I’ve had two rather reluctant Princesses on my hands! But now that they’re finally showing some signs of readiness, it’s the perfect time for me to introduce some potty training books for them to read on the subject. They loved Princess Potty. Their favorite parts of the book are the songs that the Princess sings when she’s ready to go and while she’s going, especially “Do rei me fa so, I’ll wait until I go!” When they ask me to sing something over and over again, it’s a sure sign that they love it.

Princess Potty has certainly made the concept of going #1 and #2 in the potty a lot more appealing and will be a source of encouragement as they meet this next milestone.

Five (5) Real Moms Real Views readers will each receive…

tales of training…

IMG_8218 We have never pushed my 2 1/2 year old daughter into her milestones…we give her all the necessary tools, try to help her along, but sort of just let them occur on their own. That’s how they all have happened, on their own. I guess I sort of expected potty training to be the same way {i can already hear the smirks!}. We got her a fun girly little potty insert for Christmas to transform the toilet into her own little princess potty. Now, when I say Christmas, I mean last Christmas…yes, December 2008. We sat her on it, read her books on it, sang songs on it, even painted her nails on it! We have watched movies and read a bajillion potty books. She occasionally uses it, mostly when we “catch her in the act”, you know, hiding under her art table her face turning several shades of red. Sometimes we just ask her if she wants to sit on the potty, mostly her response is “no”, but we sit on it anyway, in hopes that something will happen and she will start to connect the dots. Now, she’s a smart girl. She will potty in her diaper and then bring me a clean one…so I know she is aware of what is going on and if she can bring me a diaper after she’s taken care of business, I think she should be perfectly capable of telling me before she needs to go. I know a lot of times she doesn’t want to stop playing to go to the bathroom, which I think is a pretty normal toddler response, but I am just sort of wondering what step to take next. We have tried the panties for a day, taking her potty every 15 minutes. She usually went after we sat on the potty and then I was cleaning up messes all day long. She really doesn’t mind her diaper being wet, or panties for that matter. Doesn’t bother her much. I have even stooped to bribery; with candy, princess panties, special prizes, stickers, even lip gloss! {right now we have a pez bear, which we call “the potty bear” and when she goes she gets three pez candies out of it.} We clap, cheer, tell her how proud of her we are, all that when she potties. What are we doing wrong? I have come to realize that this is not a milestone that is just going to “happen.” I think mommy and daddy are really going to have to work for this one! I would love any advice, tips, funny stories, whatever you can give me to get this girl going on the potty…really, I will try almost anything!!!
