I didn’t own my first pair of glasses until about a year or so ago.  I have worn contacts for over 10 years, but never glasses.  I think once my husband made a comment about how I looked in glasses and I was done…not for me.  I also have this thing about not being a “frumpy” mom.  I have “rules” about what can and can’t be done/worn together.  NO glasses and a ponytail.  NO sweatpants EVER. ALWAYS wear makeup, even if it is only a tiny bit.  Slippers don’t leave the house.  All things that I believe are common sense then one trip to Walmart and I leave shaking my head.  Excuse the rambling, sensitive subject for me.  Back to the glasses.  So…when I ordered my glasses last year (remembering I had never ordered them on my own) I told the girl I was only planning on wearing them from the time I woke up until I got my contacts in and then again right before I went to bed.  I wasn’t getting something for a fashion statement.  I wanted something cheap that made it so I could see.  I picked a cheap pair of frames then they added the lenses.  I am not sure if I got gold plated lenses, but they were about 4x the price of my frames for a grand total of $275!!  WHAT!? They aren’t even cute!!  I can’t even begin to tell you how bugged I was!  The bug turned into thrill when I got the opportunity to review 39dollarglasses.com. I have become more accustom to the idea of wearing glasses because they are cute, not just from the bathroom to the bed and vise versa.  So I decided I was going to get a cute pair.  Again, all of my rules came into play again.  I didn’t want something too big or too dark.  Just something cute that I could pull off without someone looking at me thinking “Did you see those glasses?!”  I want them to see me and THEN the glasses.  My top two picks were Megan and   Oniferi (in brown).  I ended up going with the Oniferi, cuz I didn’t know if I could pull of the bling on the Megan.  After you have picked the frames you like, you can then either change the face of the model to get close to the shape of your face to get an idea of how they will look or you can print out and actual size picture of the frame so you get a really great idea of size and shape.  Then to the lenses. There are 8 different lens colors that you can choose form.  That means every pair of glasses can be clear or have a tint for sunglasses.  I am boring and choose clear.  Then comes the choice of full time wearing, reading, bifocals (with or without lines).  Have your prescription handy because you will then enter the numbers from the prescription.  Then you pick your lens package.  You can make them transition lenses at this point, too.  A  hard clam-shell case is included, or you can upgrade to a fun one.  When I saw the price, I was thrilled (and quite mad at what I had paid a year ago).  My glasses with a protective lens were under $80!  With all of that done, the order placed, my waiting began.  Knowing that it took over two weeks for my expensive ones that I went and picked up, no shipping, I figured this would be even longer.  My glasses were here in 10 days from the time I placed the order to the time they were on my face!  WHAT?!  Amazing, right?  Now that I have them….I LOVE them!!  I have worn them way more then I ever thought I would.  I wear them to work about once a week (when I do everyone tells me how smart I look…not sure how to take that)  I was totally happy from start to finish is the ordering process.  I was a tad nervous about ordering and liking what I got, but once I read the worry-free guarantee, I was sold!  If for any reason you are unhappy, they will refund you or exchange you.  They are totally about making the customer happy.  Happy I was!!  Thank you to 39dollarglasses.com for helping me not be a frumpy mom!!  REAL MOM APPROVED!!
