Happy Heart Day!! {Tiny Prints}

Maybe it is just me, but I feel like it was just yesterday that I was picking out pumpkins and costumes!!  I can hardly believe that it is almost Valentine’s Day!!  I do love the sweet little conversation hearts and have been eating them since they took the Christmas candy off the shelf!!  But the closer we get, the more I have to think about my kids class Valentine’s parties.  I have four kids…4 kids + valentines for friends = way too many frustrating hours of helping kids write valentines.  I love the holiday, but it is one that is kinda hard to prepare for.  The perfect solution is Tiny Prints!

Tiny Print’s has been in business since 2003 and not only does Valentines Greeting Cards, but they do invitations, announcements, stationary, all kinds of gift and calendars, and photo books  all personalizable!  One item that I would LOVE to have is the Day Planner.  This thing is to die for CUTE!!

I was amazed at how many Valntine’s cards Tiny Prints offers!  Almost 250 different card designs!!  There is something for every kid, every age!  I love that you can put a picture on them!!  I have so many favorites, it was hard for me to pick my very favorite, so I will share a few.  I thought it would be fun to do an all kid one, you know like for Grandma and the Fave Aunt :)   My choice for that one is Cherry on TopI love that I can put my kids picture on it, but still have a cute little Valentine’s day design on it.  Not too Girly, not too Boy-y (if that is even a real word)  I sat down with all of my kids to pick Valentine’s cards.  There were lots of ohhh’s and aww’s.  I got them to finally pick one card each.  Here are their picks:  Mia loved the Owl Love card.  April, my sweet “flower child” loved the My Garden: Bloom card.   Hailee went crazy over the  Sweet Impression: Siren card.  Austin, being the only boy, had to pick a ”tough” card, Pirates Arrrr.

Picking and customizing these Valentines has gotten me ready for the up coming holiday.  My kids are super excited to pass out their personalized cards and I very relieved that I didn’t have to fight the crowd at Walmart as we all pick through the same ol same cards as every other kid in the class will have.  This year my kids will have something different and fun to share with their friends!!  OOOOOO!  I can’t WAIT!!  Real Mom (and her little sweethearts) Approved!

The Sifter, Sorter, Store-er {Box4Blox Review}

My little guy, Austin, is a Lego fanatic!  He loves to create according to the directions and make his creation look just like the picture, but he also likes to create on his own.  He loves all of the different sizes and colors.  He will sit in his room for hours creating something amazing.  I love the fact that he uses his imagination and his brain as he works on his masterpieces.  What I don’t love (or even like) is the huge mess that comes with building with Legos.  There are so many little pieces that get dropped, lost, or just plain dumped out.  Problem solved!! Box4Blox!

This 10 1/4″ inch cube is made of the same plastic that Lego uses for its pieces, so it is super high quality!  Austin loves the bright colors and thought the “sifting” part of the boxes were “super cool.”  I agree with my 8 year old 100% percent (for once:))  Our Lego storage has been and issue for a while now.  We have tried saving the boxes they come in only to have them fall apart and we ended up losing Legos out of the bottom of the boxes.  We tried plastic container- we ended up having Legos all over the floor while the search went on for the smaller Legos hiding in the bottom and corners of that box.  The Box4Blox has perfect sorting trays so all of the smaller blocks fall through leaving the largest on the top getting smaller and smaller with each tray.  I do wish the box had some way of clicking together or having a carrying handle, but after reading up on the product, I found out why there isn’t one.  Due to the fact that the Box4Blox can hold up to about 1600 legos, there is a weight issue.  With that many Legos, the box can get heavy and the best way to carry it is from the bottom for the most support.  They did say you will only pick it up wrong once :) Make sure you watch the YouTube video of the Box4Blox, it gives you a better idea of how genius this is!!  One of my favorite parts of the Box4Blox is that is made in the USA!  I also love that it was invented by a couple who had one too many spills of Legos and Ta-Da!!  The Box4Blox was born!   This is the perfect addition to any child’s Lego collection!  No wonder it was voted New Home Organizing Product of the Year!  It would make an incredible gift…any mom would thank you over and over!  The Box4Blox deserves my two thumbs way up, and they get Austins two thumbs even higher up….and my vacuum thanks you, too!!  REAL MOM APPROVED!!

Keep Those Tiny Fingers Clean {BabyGanics review}

Winter is in full swing! There may be snow on the ground…. if you are like half of us in the mountain west, you are probably still wondering where the snow is… but something that IS here is cold/flu season. If I go to someone’s house to drop off something and they say, “Oh yeah, my kiddo has the flu this week, or hubby,” I feel I can practically see the germs coming around the corner, on the attack for me!! ( I know… I’m a little crazy that way!) :-) I usually leave wanting to douse myself in sanitizer. Now while I haven’t gone to that extreme, I have found something that is absolutely great at killing those pesky germs! BabyGanics is a company started by two fathers who wanted the safest, most effective products around the house for their families. They have a complete line of cleaning products. I was generously sent the “Germinator” to try out. It is a moisturizing, foaming hand sanitizer.

One of the easiest ways to prevent getting sick is to keep your hands clean and germ-free. Constant washing and use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer is not only a hassle, but it can also dry out your hands. BabyGanics ‘The Germinator’ Alcohol Free Foaming Hand Sanitizer effectively kills 99.9% of germs without the harsh side effects of alcohol and other synthetic chemicals. It instead utilizes benzalkonium chloride, a naturally safe and effective substance which makes The Germinator not only fast acting, but allows for use without water or towels, its non-flammable, will not stain your clothing, and definitely won’t dry out your skin. In fact, this non-toxic formula actually moisturizes as it cleans and is of course the best choice for even the tiniest fingers and hands. BabyGanics ‘The Germinator’ Alcohol Free Foaming Hand Sanitizer is available in a fresh tangerine scent as well as a fragrance free variety.

I was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing the scent of the tangerine is. My hubby commented that it doesn’t smell the way most hand sanitizers do, and I also noticed it also felt SO much more moisturizing as well. It almost feels like lotion being rubbed in, and now 10 minutes later, my hands still feel moisturized. That is awesome because along with germ season comes  (extra) hand washing season, which means super dry hands! I will be using this stuff from now on the rest of the winter and long past! If you are looking a moisturizing hand sanitizer that actually sanitizes AND moisturizes, looking no further than BabyGanics Germinator! This sanitizer is REAL Mom Recommended! You can find BabyGanics online at and nationwide at all Babies R Us, Bed Bath & Beyond and Buy Buy Baby locations. Thanks BabyGanics!

The Ultimate Fun Board! {Spooner Boards Review & Giveaway}

Spooner Boards look like loads of fun! I saw them before the holidays online and knew they would be a hit with my two children! Spooner Boards facilitate a wide variety of activities and can be used indoors or outdoors! Perfect for all seasons, interests, and ages! Truly the board created for everyone!

Using the Spooner Board, riders of all abilities can pretend they are catching a wave, riding the slopes, or burning up the asphalt without leaving the comfort of the family room. Designed for beginners, kids starting at age 3 can simulate spins, twists, slides, wobbles, and more, while getting a workout, stabilizing their core and improving their balance and coordination. The Spooner is becoming increasingly popular with school physical education departments because of the fun and safe, high-quality workout it provides and its virtually indestructible construction. Comes in seven seriously cool colors: blue, red, green, purple, orange, yellow, black.

Spooner Boards encapsulate a variable mass of definitions of fun, health, recreation, and innovative design. Unlike traditional skateboards, which require large spaces, or snowboards which require winter conditions, the Spooner Board allows kids and adults to practice all the techniques of both sports in a space no larger than a 4-foot cubicle. Spooner Boards break the boundaries of limitations! No matter weather conditions, environment, or location, you can use a Spooner Board! Even on the snow for sledding and boarding. The Spooner is guaranteed for life! If your Spooner Board ever breaks, it will be replaced. Spooner Boards have no weight limit and come in 2 different sizes, making them a perfect toy for the entire family. Spooner Boards are widely used in physical education departments and are great exercise. As children are playing they are improving core strength, coordination, and gross motor skills. Parents and teachers can rest easy knowing the boards were designed with child and floor safety in mind. Spooner Boards are made in the USA and are safe for all ages 3 and up. The smaller of the 2 boards is the 24” Freestyle Spooner Board. The Freestyle Board is great for boarders under 4 feet tall, but can be used by taller riders too. The larger board is the 28” Pro Model Spooner Board. The Pro Model Board is great for boarders over 4 feet tall, but safe for all ages. Watch the videos to see kids of all age’s free styling on The Spooner!

The kids were so excited when our Spooner Boards arrived and couldn’t wait to try them out! Spooner Boards generously sent us two boards; the 24″ Freestyle and the 28″ Pro Model. I opened up the blue 24″ Freestyle Spooner Board first. It seems a bit more age appropriate for my littles as it is a bit shorter than the Pro Model making it more manageable for smaller children. It quickly became a favorite of both kids, especially Hollis. He is constantly standing on it, rocking on it, sitting on it, spinning, and  pretending he’s on a skateboard! It’s amazing to me how many different ways he has found to use it all on his own, offering tons of entertainment and keeping him active! We can play with the Spooner Board indoors as well as outdoors as it can be used on any surface! It is very easy to transport from one place to another and even Hollis can easily carry it around! Even I enjoy playing on the Spooner Board!  The Spooner Board is great fun and also offers a great exercise opportunity! When children are playing on their spooner board they are working all sorts of muscles and developing their gross motor skills! In an age where technology is a major source of entertainment for children, I love that Spooner Boards has created such a great toy for children of all ages; getting them outdoors and active!

Happiness is…..{Happiness is Peanuts: Friends Forever DVD Review}

Who doesn’t love a good ‘ol Charlie Brown every now and again?!  My kids have fallen in love with Charlie, Schroeder, Linus, Lucy, and of course Snoopy!  Every holiday we look forward to seeing the Charlie Brown Special on TV!  They laugh at how mean Lucy is to poor Charlie while they play football and how silly Snoopy is on his dog house.  They love how the teacher talks, and I occasionally will get a” Whaa-whaa-waaa” when I ask them to do something :)

“Charlie Brown has his heart set on meeting the Little Red-Haired Girl on You’re in Love, Charlie Brown, the 1968 Emmy® nominated television special. School is about to let out for summer but all Charlie Brown can think of is how to meet the Little Red-Haired Girl. All his attempts end in embarrassments. He writes her a love note but winds up accidentally reading it out loud to his class. When she tries to approach him during the lunch break, he panics and pulls his lunch bag over his head. He gets up really early one morning in hopes of catching her at her bus stop but winds up falling asleep and misses the bus. Will it be a summer of heartbreak for Charlie Brown or will he manage to connect with the Little Red-Haired Girl before school lets out?

 Happiness is…Peanuts™: Friends Forever, also includes an episode from The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show, featuring skits based on Peanuts strips created by Charles M. Schulz.

 Kite Eating Tree – Charlie Brown visits Lucy’s psychiatry booth for advice on fighting the kite-eating tree.

 Sally – Pretending to be a WWI Flying Ace, Snoopy steals Sally’s report for school.

 Camp – Charlie Brown is sent home from camp for being a “troublemaker.” Peppermint Patty tells Linus that she cried when she saw him kiss the Little-Red Haired girl.

 Lucy Loves Schroeder – Lucy puts Schroeder’s piano in the washer and dryer after she breaks up with him.

Scared Snoopy – Snoopy sees Lucy at her psychiatry booth because he’s been hearing noises at night but later refuses to pay his bill.

“With Valentine’s Day approaching, Happiness is…Peanuts™: Friends Forever is the perfect title to share with both kids and adults, there’s something in it for everyone,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, WHV Executive Marketing Director of Family & Animation Franchise. She added, “Although most everyone can relate to Charlie Brown and his unrequited love for the Little Red-Haired Girl, Happiness is…Peanuts™: Friends Forever reminds us that love comes in many forms. From the fondness and affection we have for our friends to the bond we share with family, it’s something to be celebrated and cherished.”

There is no better way to tell your kids that you love them then sending them a Valentine with Snoopy on it!!  Find your “Happiness,” sit back, snuggle in with your kids and enjoy some Peanuts!

Totally Stuck Up! {LeoStickers Giveaway and Review}

I have used my fair share of vinyl in my house.  It is in my bedroom, my kids bedrooms, down the hall, even across my fridge.  In fact, my hubby told me that I couldn’t add any more vinyl ANYWHERE!  Good thing this isn’t just vinyl, it’s better!  LeoStickers has TONS of fun stickers for your kids bedroom!

 They range from a farmer, treasure map, butterflies, fish, princess castles, and hippos.  They are heavy duty, full color stickers.  There is no ripping, tearing, sticking together, or bubbling like vinyl does.  These are so much thicker and SO cute!  Not only are they super quality, they are really easy to apply.  We got the LeoKitSpring to give a try.  Since Mia’s room is all painted with a fun flower border, we opted to apply the stickers to the closet doors.  I was worried at first because it tells you to apply the stickers to a smooth surface and the doors have a bit of a texture to them.  I tried a smaller one first just to get the hang of it, and it was as easy as pie to apply.  If you have ever used vinyl, it is just like that, but easier.  Same idea of having the two protective sheets on either side of the sticker.  Once you have peeled off the solid side, you are left with the sticker stuck to a semi see through sheet that is a little sticky.  You then apply it right where you want it and rub.  A spatula was included for application, which made it SUPER easy to apply.  Simply rub the spatula over the sticker, peel the paper and Wallah!  You have a darling room with very little work!  My favorite part of these stickers is that if you buy them individually, you can get a variety of sizes…some of them are HUGE!  You can pick and choose what your kiddos room needs or take the easy route and get a kit and do the whole darn thing with fun coordinating designs.   We had to move a few and were able to easily remove and re stick them where we wanted them.  When your little one isn’t so little any more or they have just out grown their room, all of the stickers are easily removable.  If they don’t peel right off, a blow dryer will be helpful in removing them.  Mia is now loving her “new room” when all we really did was add some cuteness to her closet, but it did change the whole look of her room!!  I wish they had a white picket fence!  I would totally hang it over her head board!  Real Mom Approved!!

Are you ready to give your kiddo’s room a makeover?!  Want to win a few wonderful underwater pieces? a $74 value!

2 Marine Horses (L3” x H 6”)

 1 Roby the crab (L9.5”X H 4”)

 1 Yellow fish (L6” x H 4”)

 1 Green fish (L6” x H 5”)

{Mandatory entry}

Love is in the air! {Dora the Explorer: Dora Loves Boots DVD Review}

Dora Loves Boots. But really, who doesn’t?! Dora’s adorable little sidekick is super cute, spunky and oh-so loyal!Dora Loves Boots, from Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment highlights the special friendship between Dora and her best friend Boots with 4 adventurous episodes! The DVD will also offer parents the opportunity to use the Gramify program and send their kids a free personalized phone call from Dora (limited time offer).
As usual, the kids were super excited when their new Dora the Explorer: Dora Loves Boots DVD arrived in the mail and wanted to watch it straight away! All of the Dora the Explorer DVD’s keep the kids entertained and happy, and this one is no different! What we love about Dora the Explorer episodes is they are very interactive! From the get go, Dora is asking questions of the kids, having them help her and Boots along on an adventure! Every adventure consists of a problem that dora will ask your child to help her solve! They will usually refer to Map to help them along their way! Ava loves “the Map” song! It’s too cute watching and listening to my kids as they watch Dora; answering her questions and singing along to many of the songs! Both of my children loved watching Dora Loves Boots!

Boots’ First Bike
Boots is really excited because soon he’ll be getting his very first big bike.  The Delivery Duck flies in with a postcard of a shiny yellow 2-wheeler bike for Boots.  His new bike is finally ready to be picked up and he can’t wait!  It’s going to be a series of “first” adventures as Baby Blue Bird takes her first flight, Lil’ Piggy sails on her first pirate ship, and Tico’s baby cousins learn how to safely cross the street and make it to the bike shop.

Bouncy Boots
Boots’ favorite boots are back from the Shoe Shop, but when he tries them on, he starts to bounce. Dora and Boots set off to find his favorite boots on a bouncy adventure past the Giant Gates, then across the Snail Bridge where their French friend Amélie teaches them how to play Escargot — a French Hop-Scotch game. They sing all the way to the Shoe Shop, but will Boots’ shoes be there?

¡Vacaciones!
Dora and Boots are meeting Diego and Baby Jaguar for a night of camping under the stars.  Along the way, they run into other friends who are going on vacation too. At the Nutty Forest, Tico and Benny give them a ride on his nut-powered car. Then they help Isa water her vegetable garden before she heads out to the Snowy Mountain.  Before they arrive at the Rainforest Campground, Swiper takes their snacks. Diego and Baby Jaguar come to the rescue in a canoe and together retrieve the snacks and row all the way to the Campground.

The Bed Red Chicken’s Magic Wand
The Big Red Chicken is doing magic tricks and he turns Boots into a chicken!  When he tries to turn Boots back into a monkey, his beak starts to twitch and he lets out a big sneeze that sends the wand flying off into Magic Land.  Big Red Chicken accidentally lands on his wand and breaks it!  On the way to the Wand Shop they play a picture puzzle game to go through the Magic Mirrors, a math game to get the Giant Dice to disappear and then do a scarf trick to enter the Wand Shop.

Dora the Explorer: Dora Loves Boots would make a great Valentine Gift for your little one! They will love helping Dora and Boots along on their adventures! You can pick up your copy at your local retailer or online! You can also catch Dora the Explorer episodes on Nick Jr; Check your local listings for show times!
