Chuggington: Wilson & The Ice Cream Fair on DVD May 15th! {Giveaway}

My little guy had the opportunity to check out Chuggington: Wilson & The Ice Cream Fair on DVD first hand this week!  With excitement we popped it in and settled in for a fun adventure with Wilson the “Red Train” as my son calls him.  He joined Wilson as he headed to the ice cream fair, helps create a new flavor of ice cream, and helps prevent an ice cream meltdown on the hottest day of the year.  My little chugger loved this episode and yours will too!  I love Chuggington because it always has valuable lessons taught within the episodes. From problem solving to overcoming fears, it comes REAL MOM RECOMMENDED!

Let it Grow {Miracle-Gro Kids Kit Review}

I love the idea of a garden.  I don’t love all of the time and work that goes into it…I am secretly grateful for that pesky gopher that has been living in my backyard (preventing our garden planting) for the last two years.  So when the opportunity came to have a tiny little garden in my kitchen, we went for it!  Miracle-Gro sent a Disney Mickey Mouse Greenhouse for us to try out our green thumbs on.

“The Disney Mickey Mouse Greenhouse from Miracle-Gro® Kids boasts the iconic shape of the most famous mouse in the world!  Kids will enjoy the fun of growing a bountiful vegetable garden with the Miracle-Gro® Gro-Pod™ system.”

I talked my kids into waiting a day or two after delivery to start the growing…that way Josh could do all of the work and I could take pictures.  The instructions were very easy to follow and before long the kids had Mickey all put together and they were ready to plant the seeds.  The kit came with 3 different kids of seeds, soil, and a planting sticks.  Josh helped dig the holes while the kids very carefully dropped the seeds in the holes.  Mia got to put the labeling sticks in the cups, so we would remember what had been planted in each cup.  She was very impressed with the Mickey and Goofy ones.  With one last drink of water, the lid was placed over the top and the greenhouse was placed in the kitchen window.

About 3 weeks later, we have some baby tomato plants and cucumber plants growing in our cute little terrarium.  We only had to water them once or twice because the moisture collected on the top and would keep the plants moist.  Every morning the kids all take a good peek at their plants and have shown them off to their friends.  They can’t wait to finally have veggies on their plants…we better plan on replanting them before them.

Gardening isn’t just for Grandpa…kids can do it, too.  They were thrilled as Josh taught them about how the green house worked and how the plants were going to grow.  What a wonderful way to teach kids about gardening.  Miracle-Gro also has all kids of other fun kids gardening kits. Real Mom Approved!!

Honk Your Horns!!! Chuggington Season 3 Returns on March 26th!

We LOVE CHuggington in our home. In fact, my three year old is watching it as we speak.  Of course, they are just the reruns we saved on the DVR, but he doesn’t care. I am very excited to tell him new episodes of season three will be starting soon! I know he will be thrilled.

Chuggington Season Three – Wheels to the rails, Chuggington Season 3 is set to pull out of the station on Monday, March 26 on Disney Junior! Airing weekdays at 7:30 a.m. EST, the third season of Chuggington will be full of new and exciting adventures as Wilson, Brewster and Koko learn to navigate the rails of Chuggington with help from new and familiar friends.  Chuggington will  also be featured on the new 24-hour Disney Junior basic cable and satellite channel (launching on March 23, 2012 in the U.S.). Chuggington will premiere on the Disney Junior channel on March 26, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. EST. Please find below a press release with more information and details about Season 3 of Chuggington!

We just love the buddies in our home.  Last Halloween, my little guy was obsessed with the buddies in their Halloween film, then winter came and he was obsessed with them again in snow buddies. Something about those doggies really has him fascinated with them (I think it’s that they talk).  I have even watched them and think they are cute.  I wonder if my little guy thinks our dog can talk? LOL

We recently had the opportunity to watch Treasure Buddies.  This fun film follows the buddies all the way to Egypt.  My son’s favorite character was Babi the mischievous monkey.  From booby traps to a cat, the buddies went on a fun adventure!  My son is terrified of cat’s so whenever they showed the cat he would squeal….my son’s favorite bonus feature was B-Dawg and his tour of his home.  Gotta love that bling!!! The treasure buddies is a great family film that is perfect for your home DVD collection.

Disney Release…A Classic! {Lady and the Tramp on DVD}


LADY AND THE TRAMP: DIAMOND EDITION

Synopsis: A classic love story unfolds in the best Disney tradition as a lovely young pedigreed cocker spaniel named Lady, who lives a pampered life, finds herself falling romantically for Tramp, an amorous street-smart pooch without prospects. Although they have fun together on several dates, including a sentimental spaghetti dinner by moonlight at Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound. However, good-hearted Tramp redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and the affection of her human family.

I remember watching this classic as a child.  It was one of the many Disney VHS tapes that we had in our family video collection.  The classic scene of Lady and Tramp eating their spaghetti and the song “Bella Notte” is being sung.  That has to be one of the most popular scenes of the entire film.  I also remember the Siamese cats and the song they sang.  My sisters and I used to always sing it growing up.  I was very excited when Disney gave me the opportunity to introduce this title to my young ones.  When it arrived we curled up on the couch and popped some popcorn.  My children were still the entire show, anxiously watching each scene.  My son’s favorite bonus feature was PuppyPedia.  My favorite was “Walt’s” story meetings.  I love seeing what went into the film and especially from Walt Disney himself.  This one is a sure classic and I am so happy to have it as part of our Disney home DVD collection.

We loved watching this film.  With new songs and some even new friends, it was a fun film for any age.  The story is based on Belle transforming the castle from gloomy to fit for a Princess.  It shows how she connects with the other characters and such a sweet story.

My son loved all the animated characters and watched the entire show from start to finish.  His favorite was Lumiere.  He is funny as usual with his accent and his new love the feather duster.  My little girl “My Princess” loved it too.  She smiled and danced around to the music.

Their favorite bonus features were Belle’s Delightful Dinner Game where you help Belle plan a super special dinner for the Beast and Disney Song Selection where you choose a song and sing along.

We enjoyed it together as a family and I recommend it as a Real Mom!  It would make a great addition to your home Disney DVD collection.

We love the holidays in our home and we love watching holiday films. We were very fortunate to be given the opportunity to watch Beauty & The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas on Blu ray & DVD.  With Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas in full gear this was the perfect film to break in the holiday spirit in our home.  I am a huge fan of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. It has to be one of my Disney favorites.  I remember watching it as a child and having it on VHS in our home collection growing up.  I knew all the music and loved to sing it.

I sat down and watched this magical holiday film with my three year old a few nights ago.  From the familiar characters to the new music, it became an instant hit in our Disney film collection.  My son’s favorite character was Chip (I assume because he has such a cute voice).  My daughter who is fourteen months even watched a few minutes here and there.  I can’t wait until she gets into Disney Princess mode as she gets older. It will be so fun to watch her play dress up and love the fun that comes from the Disney Princess’.

My son loved the bonus features. His favorite of course was the sing along mode. He would try his best to sing along with the songs repeating each word a few seconds after he heard them. It was too cute!  My favorite bonus feature was the “As Long as There’s Christmas” Music video. I just love the song.

Shimmering Beauty! {Disney Princess Lip Gloss Review & Giveaway}
