Teeny Tiny Tootsies {Lily Bug Baby Things Review}

I can hardly wait to find out if I am having a baby boy or a baby girl.  I think it will be so much fun to pick out little clothes, little socks, little coats…everything will be so little.  I can only imagine how fun it will be.

One of my favorite things to look at are teeny tiny shoes.  I love how they look just like adults shoes…just 1/60th of the size :)   It is amazing how many styles they have out there.  The only thing is, they are almost as expensive as adult shoes.  The bummer part is baby will grow so fast they don’t wear them out like an adult does.  Some of the time the baby never even scuffs the sole on them.

Lily Bug Baby Things is the answer to my new teeny shoes addiction.  Bridgette, a sewing addict, creates the cutest and littlest shoes.  Crib shoes are little shoes, especially for babies under 18 months.  They have a soft and durable sole.  These shoes are perfect for keeping babies tootsies warm and allowing them to be fashionable while at the same time giving them protection for when they start crawling.  They stay on better than socks….or so I hear…can’t wait to put them to the test :)   Plus!  These are much more affordable than a pair of hard sole shoes, which frankly, seem to weigh down little legs.  These little shoes are only $12!!

Aren’t they the sweetest things!?  Since we don’t know what we are having yet, I chose a pair of plain brown crib shoes in 6-9 months.  The material looks like tiny corduroy.  The inside is brown minky material.  Could you picture having these on YOUR feet!?  AHHH!  Super soft!!  I love them.  They are so sweet and little.  In fact, I carried them in my purse for about a week, pulling them out to show everyone at the office, my family, my friends.  I know, maybe I am a little too excited about, but seriously they are stinkin’ cute!!

Baby’s First Bedtime–Clothes Guaranteed to Create Sweet Dreams

It is important for a child’s emotional and physical development to get enough good quality sleep each night. This is the time that they do most of their growing and, just like adults, prepare mentally for the day ahead. The baby clothes or children’s clothes and bed linen you choose for their room will help to create sweet dreams for your child, so they can improve on their night’s sleep.

For babies, all-in-one sleep suits are the most common and probably most practical form of nightwear. This means they cannot get tangled, caught or suffocate on materials, that may otherwise happen with a trouser or shorts pajama set. These suits also help to keep babies warm as no air can get instead the bodysuit, so a thermal atmosphere is created. The suit covers the feet, which could otherwise get quite cold during the night, keeping them warm helps prevent babies waking from the cold. Night-time hats are also available for newborns to help keep their heads from losing extra warmth, which is the most common area of the body to do so.

Most sleep suits have buttons down the front, which make them ideal for changing, as it can become a quicker and easier process for parents. Various colors and designs are available, such as pinks, which are common for girls and blues and browns mainly for boys. Some suits may have designs applied to the front such as an image of an animal, the moon and stars or a flower or car. Others may be thicker than another one, so you can choose different ones for winter and summer, according to the current temperature conditions. It is important to make sure your baby does not get too hot or cold. By making them comfortable at night, you are giving them a better chance to feel safe and relaxed. It should improve their health and development massively, so make sure you do not overlook the importance of decent, good quality bedding and night clothes.

You can often purchase sleep suits in packs of twos, which is cheaper than buying individually. Newborn suits will usually come in packs of three or more. They are normally made from cotton, so are soft and allow the skin to breathe.

Bathrobes are ideal for drying and keeping warm after a wash, because they cover the head as well as the rest of the body. This makes it easier to pick up the baby as well, so it is a great, fun product that is practical and comfortable at the same time.

A wonderful idea to help your baby get their first night’s sleep in the outside world is to have a colorful mobile above the cot. They can spin around and play relaxing music to help comfort the babies to sleep once they are left alone. A soft toy may be ideal for them to snuggle up to while they nod off, but remember to remove it after in case of suffocation during the night.

It is useful to keep a baby monitor by their cot and one on your bedside table, so that you can hear if there are any problems during the night with crying.

Place extra blankets on the bed on cold winter nights, and make sure they are tucked in to so the baby cannot wriggle under them completely, therefore avoiding suffocation.

Booties for their cutie patooties {Stonz booties review & giveaway}

While summer may have just ended, fall is in full swing, and winter may seem like forever away, it is on it’s way in just a few short months. Gone will be the perfect mild days we are having  and in it’s place will be cold, chilly days that turn noses red and hands into popsicles! I used to like winter a whole lot more when I was a kid. I remember getting REALLY excited when it snowed (I grew up in Utah where there is LOTS of snow!). I’m really excited to show my little monkey the wonders of snow this winter. We barely went outside last winter since he was a newborn! While snow forts and snow ball fights may still be a few years away, we do plan to get out more this winter. I recently took up snowshoeing with my husband and so hopefully we will be doing that among other things! So in preparing for bundling up my little peanut, I was looking for some versatile booties to go on his little tootsies! And I found the perfect thing! Stonz Booties!

Going Bananas for costumes! {costumediscounters.com review}

I can’t believe that Halloween is only a month away! My neighbors have started decorating, (I am still working on getting Halloween decorations!) and the Halloween candy section is in full swing at the grocery store… yeah, I’ve already visited that aisle… more than once!  I may only have my little guy, who is turning one next week, but I love Halloween and am so excited to get him dressed up and take him out this year! One of the best things about Halloween for babies is the pictures! I was wanting something super cute that would also keep him warm this time of year! I found EXACTLY what I was looking for at Costume Discounters. My little munchkin is crazy about monkeys,  so it was awesome when I came across this cute Mischievous Monkey Costume! (It was hard getting a good shot of him… hence why the bottom is cut off! Plus I had a hard time keeping a straight face too!)

Cozy legs, fuzzy feet {Baby Undersocks review and giveaway)

 

The nights are getting cooler. Fall is definitely making it’s arrival known. The leaves haven’t started changing, but I know any morning I’m going to wake up and see that Jake Frost has gotten out his paint brush. There are so many great things to love about fall and cooler weather. I love being able to layer up with jackets and sweaters. And I love getting into my warm comfy sweats at night  and cozy socks.

One thing I learned about last year when my son was a newborn is that it’s nearly darn impossible to keep socks on a baby’s feet. He was born in October, so we spent the first six months in socks. I tried getting socks that were a little bigger, but they just slipped off. The ones that were the right size just worked their way down. The only solution I could find was to pull his socks OVER his pants, and it worked, but he looked like he was wearing sock boots! Now that was fine for a new born, where we pretty much wore comfy cotton pants everyday, but now that he is almost one and wears REAL pants… at least he will be once it cools down a little more, I don’t think the whole sock over jeans thing is going to work! This is where I found the most amazing solution! Baby Undersocks!! This ingenious creation is part sock, part thermal underwear. The ingenious mother who came up with this great idea was sick of her baby’s socks always falling off and the part of the leg that is exposed always getting cold. Enter the Baby Undersock. You simply pull them on underneath your baby’s clothing and Viola! You have a great pair of no skid socks that stay up! AND!… There is another light layer underneath to keep your baby warm. Perfect for going into fall and winter! I’m already excited for when we have to go outside and I don’t want his legs to get cold! Where I live, it gets pretty cold in the winter, so layers are a MUST for baby! Finally! A pair of baby socks that stay on!

The othergreat thing about these are how they are made! They are made of thermal bamboo, which is very smooth and soft against a baby’s sensitive skin, highly breathable, moisture wicking and antibacterial. It’s also a temperature regulator, so baby won’t get cold nor too warm!  Not to mention bamboo is also very eco-friendly, as it is one of the most sustainable crops on earth.

I am so excited to use these winter baby socks this upcoming season! Where ever the season takes us, we will be warm and cozy! Thanks Baby Undersocks!

Adorable Beanies For Your Kiddos! {Beanie Designs Review}

I was in the market for baby hats and infant hats. I was looking for some stylish hats for my little boy and girl. Then low and behold I was contacted by Beanie Designs to review their hats and it was fate!

Beanie Designs let me choose two hats. One for my boy and one for my girl. The moment I started looking on their website I was super impressed. They have a large selection and the hats are all adorable.I really had a hard time choosing.

I chose the blue mix beanie for my little boy and the cotton cream lacy beanie for my little girl. They shipped out quickly and when they arrived I couldn’t wait to try them on my kiddos. They fit perfectly (you purchase by child’s age). I have to say the pictures of them are adorable, but I think they are even cuter in person on my own kiddos!

Destination Designs {Tea Collection Review}

When it comes to clothing it is all about colors and patterns.  Say “bye bye” to plain and boring and “hello!” to fun and funky!

Tea is a designer clothing company that bring us “distinctive apparel inspired by the beauty {they} discover in {their} travels around the world.”  Their designs are fresh and lively.  “From the art of traditional Korean patchwork to the graphic boldness of Brazilian street graffiti, {they} interpret {their} discoveries into beautiful, modern and consummately wearable children’s clothing for ages 0-12″ and women’s clothing.

Look how adorable their little girl’s dresses are.  Bright and cheerful!  “Art nouveau tiles, breezy plaids, and playa-inspired playdresses.”  They also carry mix and match sets, pj’s, tops, leggings, pants/jeans, sweaters, shoes, and accessories.  Their girl’s clothing is ooo and ahh worthy!

For the boys they have “breezy, cool, and graphically awesome” apparel.  Their tees are inspired by art and culture rather than cartoons and video games.  Much more classy wouldn’t you say!?  Their boy’s clothing also includes mix and match sets, pj’s, tops, pants/jeans, sweaters, shoes, and shorts.

You are going to die when you see how adorable their baby clothes are!  Super sweet!!  They carry mix and match sets, onesies, dresses, tops, bottoms, leggings, pj’s, sweaters, shoes, and accessories for girls and boys.  AHHH!  They really are soooo stinkin’ cute!!

Luckily Tea didn’t forget about the ladies!!  They have sweaters, dresses, tops, tunics, pants, and scarves.

It was so hard to pick out just one thing to review from Tea.  There are so many cute women’s things.  I chose the Hojas del Mar tunic.  I am in love!!!  The fabric is super soft and super thick.  There is no seeing through it.  It just screams quality!!  It even has pockets.  Talk about comfy!!

“This quintessential Catalonia Collection tunic brings to life the abstract leaf shapes of modern art. Drape yourself in this fine poplin print and your creative energy will flow. Turn back the sleeves and don your skinny jeans for a fresh spring spirit.”  Well, I don’t quite have the skinny jean body (if only I did!) but I did pair it with a cute red belt, a pair of boot cut Mek’s, and my new nude color pumps.  I must say it was a pretty cute outfit.  I can’t wait to wear it with some white capri’s and a pair of Grecian sandals.

Next up on my wish list is the Nouveau Viollet Tunic.  It is gorgeous!  Fingers crossed my hubs will get it for me for my birthday!!
