Soft and Tiny {Poppet Baby Wear Review}

I am so excited to be expecting my first baby. I am officially at 19 weeks and time is flying. At first it was moving really slow but ever since morning sickness kicked in the days are soaring. We haven’t found out what we are having yet. I tried to talk my hubby into going to the mall to find out early but since he is the patient one, he talked me into waiting. We find out next week though! I can hardly wait.

To some it my not be a biggie to wait but I am so excited to start decorating the nursery and buying cute little clothes. I love shopping for little clothes. They are super tiny and oh so cute. Poppet Baby Wear adds another element to baby clothes…cuddly and soft! Poppet Baby Wear has the world’s finest merino baby wear, bedding, and blankets.

Merino is a breed of sheep prized for it’s wool. Their wool is the softest and the finest of any sheep. According to Wikipedia, “Merino is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. The wool provides some warmth, without overheating the wearer. It draws moisture (sweat) away from the skin…[and] is slightly moisture repellent…allowing the user to avoid the feeling of wetness.” Doesn’t this sound like the perfect fabric to make baby clothes, blankets, and bedding out of!? Babies cant get so sweaty but now they can stay nice and dry!!

Poppet Baby Wear is handmade in New Zealand. Their products are “naturally fire resistant, itch-free, repels stains and odors, [allergy-safe], and is silky-soft yet highly durable.” Because of the wool’s ability to help baby regulate it’s temperature, their products can be used in any season.

Poppet Baby Wear sent me the most perfect little gender neutral pants. In fact, these are babies FIRST pair of pants. Can I just say again how tiny they are!! I love them! They have a waistband to help keep baby comfy and a drawstring to give the pants a snug fit if needed. And check out the little sheep and lamb design on the leg. TOO CUTE!!

These will be great little pants for my June baby. They will be perfect for helping baby make their grand entrance into cool summer nights bbq, picnics, and for strolls around the park. Also, because they can be used a pajama bottoms, if baby falls asleep for all the socializing they can go straight to bed without having to change first. BONUS!

Stylin this Christmas! {HADDAD Brands Review}

Hollis is in desperate need of a some winter clothing. It seems he has had a major growth spurt recently and shirts are showing his tummy and pants are a bit too short! Teeny Tiny Tootsies {Lily Bug Baby Things Review}

I can hardly wait to find out if I am having a baby boy or a baby girl. I think it will be so much fun to pick out little clothes, little socks, little coats…everything will be so little. I can only imagine how fun it will be.

One of my favorite things to look at are teeny tiny shoes. I love how they look just like adults shoes…just 1/60th of the size It is amazing how many styles they have out there. The only thing is, they are almost as expensive as adult shoes. The bummer part is baby will grow so fast they don’t wear them out like an adult does. Some of the time the baby never even scuffs the sole on them.

Lily Bug Baby Things is the answer to my new teeny shoes addiction. Bridgette, a sewing addict, creates the cutest and littlest shoes. Crib shoes are little shoes, especially for babies under 18 months. They have a soft and durable sole. These shoes are perfect for keeping babies tootsies warm and allowing them to be fashionable while at the same time giving them protection for when they start crawling. They stay on better than socks….or so I hear…can’t wait to put them to the test Plus! These are much more affordable than a pair of hard sole shoes, which frankly, seem to weigh down little legs. These little shoes are only $12!!

Bridgette has come up with some really cute designs!! Just pick what size your baby needs and she will have them out to you lickity split.

Aren’t they the sweetest things!? Since we don’t know what we are having yet, I chose a pair of plain brown crib shoes in 6-9 months. The material looks like tiny corduroy. The inside is brown minky material. Could you picture having these on YOUR feet!? AHHH! Super soft!! I love them. They are so sweet and little. In fact, I carried them in my purse for about a week, pulling them out to show everyone at the office, my family, my friends. I know, maybe I am a little too excited about, but seriously they are stinkin’ cute!!

Baby’s First Bedtime–Clothes Guaranteed to Create Sweet Dreams

It is important for a child’s emotional and physical development to get enough good quality sleep each night. This is the time that they do most of their growing and, just like adults, prepare mentally for the day ahead. The baby clothes or children’s clothes and bed linen you choose for their room will help to create sweet dreams for your child, so they can improve on their night’s sleep.

For babies, all-in-one sleep suits are the most common and probably most practical form of nightwear. This means they cannot get tangled, caught or suffocate on materials, that may otherwise happen with a trouser or shorts pajama set. These suits also help to keep babies warm as no air can get instead the bodysuit, so a thermal atmosphere is created. The suit covers the feet, which could otherwise get quite cold during the night, keeping them warm helps prevent babies waking from the cold. Night-time hats are also available for newborns to help keep their heads from losing extra warmth, which is the most common area of the body to do so.

Most sleep suits have buttons down the front, which make them ideal for changing, as it can become a quicker and easier process for parents. Various colors and designs are available, such as pinks, which are common for girls and blues and browns mainly for boys. Some suits may have designs applied to the front such as an image of an animal, the moon and stars or a flower or car. Others may be thicker than another one, so you can choose different ones for winter and summer, according to the current temperature conditions. It is important to make sure your baby does not get too hot or cold. By making them comfortable at night, you are giving them a better chance to feel safe and relaxed. It should improve their health and development massively, so make sure you do not overlook the importance of decent, good quality bedding and night clothes.

You can often purchase sleep suits in packs of twos, which is cheaper than buying individually. Newborn suits will usually come in packs of three or more. They are normally made from cotton, so are soft and allow the skin to breathe.

Bathrobes are ideal for drying and keeping warm after a wash, because they cover the head as well as the rest of the body. This makes it easier to pick up the baby as well, so it is a great, fun product that is practical and comfortable at the same time.

A wonderful idea to help your baby get their first night’s sleep in the outside world is to have a colorful mobile above the cot. They can spin around and play relaxing music to help comfort the babies to sleep once they are left alone. A soft toy may be ideal for them to snuggle up to while they nod off, but remember to remove it after in case of suffocation during the night.

It is useful to keep a baby monitor by their cot and one on your bedside table, so that you can hear if there are any problems during the night with crying.

Place extra blankets on the bed on cold winter nights, and make sure they are tucked in to so the baby cannot wriggle under them completely, therefore avoiding suffocation.

One of the most fun things about preparing for a baby is clothes shopping. The outfits are so cute and tiny! Booties for their cutie patooties {Stonz booties review & giveaway}

While summer may have just ended, fall is in full swing, and winter may seem like forever away, it is on it’s way in just a few short months. Gone will be the perfect mild days we are having and in it’s place will be cold, chilly days that turn noses red and hands into popsicles! I used to like winter a whole lot more when I was a kid. Going Bananas for costumes! {costumediscounters.com review}

I can’t believe that Halloween is only a month away! My neighbors have started decorating, (I am still working on getting Halloween decorations!) and the Halloween candy section is in full swing at the grocery store… yeah, I’ve already visited that aisle… more than once! I may only have my little guy, who is turning one next week, but I love Halloween and am so excited to get him dressed up and take him out this year! One of the best things about Halloween for babies is the pictures! I was wanting something super cute that would also keep him warm this time of year! I found EXACTLY what I was looking for at Costume Discounters. My little munchkin is crazy about monkeys, so it was awesome when I came across this cute Mischievous Monkey Costume! (It was hard getting a good shot of him… hence why the bottom is cut off! Plus I had a hard time keeping a straight face too!)

If you don’t know what you are going to do for a Halloween costume, you better get crackin’! Fortunately, at Costume Discounters, you will find a HUGE selection of costumes for everyone in the family! They have something for Mom, Dad, teens, kids and babies! They also have fantastic prices!! I found some on clearance for as low as $7.97! What a deal! They also have almost any theme you could ever want too! They have everything from animals, to fairy-tales to pirates to TV and movies to High School Musical to superheroes and cartoon characters… the list goes on and on!
