Stay Away From Sticky Situations!

Ever get annoyed with a “non-stick” baking tray?  I’ve had several pans make the stick-free claim yet some of my baked goods still won’t release easily.

IMG_1322To thwart this problem, I’m using Mrs. Anderson’s Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat from Harold Import Company on my trays.  I no longer have any sticky situations!  The U.S. half size baking mat I use is 11 5/8″ x 16 1/2″ and fits standard 13″ x 18″ baking sheets, perfect for my cookie, cinnamon roll or biscuit needs.  Made of FDA approved food grade, sealed, nonporous silicone, baking is naturally nonstick and sanitary.  No oil or greasing is needed which is great for those watching calorie intake.

IMG_1323Harold Import Company’s Mrs. Anderson’s Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat uses intelligent design.  They’ve taken woven glass fibers and sealed them inside the mat to evenly transfer heat during baking so baked items reach a perfect brown.  With temperatures up to 480 degrees being safe for use, a variety of goods can be made.

PicMonkey CollagecI recently baked two batches of snickerdoodles; one on my “non-stick” cookie sheet, and the other using HIC Mrs. Anderson’s Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat, to show y’all the difference.  Notice the batch baked directly on the baking sheet has a ring around the outside of the cookie.  This outer area became more “done” than the middle.  The cookies on my Mrs. Anderson’s Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat are the same color brown from the outside in, leaving my snicker doodle soft & chewy throughout rather than crunchy on the edge & soft in the center.  Both batches were baked at the same temp with same time limit.

PicMonkey CollagegI used a spatula to remove cookies from the cookie sheet (a few grabbed…..probably because of the uneven cooking).  I could literally slide the cookies baked on the baking mat by tilting the edge of my pan!  Wonderfully non-stick.  Clean up was a breeze, too.  All I had to do was wipe down with a mild detergent, rinse and air dry.

HIC notes there can be a slight oily feeling or discoloration after washing.  I haven’t noticed the oily feeling, but I made some pumpkin dog treats that left a slight orangish cast on my baking mat.

I have baked all sorts of goodies on my Harold Import Company Mrs. Anderson’s Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat and I love it!  Real Mom Recommended!!
