RMRV Holiday Gifts: Unique and Gorgeous {Rod Works #Review & #Giveaway}

When my husband and I were engaged I could hardly wait to get married so I could move in and take over.   Funny?  True.  Seriously!  I couldn’t wait to move in and change his bachelor pad into a home for us.  I had a list of things I wanted to change.At first it kind of hurt his feelings, thinking I wasn’t satisfied with what he worked so hard for.  So I slowly took over.  Before he knew it I had the sports paintings down, the walls painted, and cupboards reorganized.
I love decorating.  In college I took an interior design class and that kind of sparked my love for decorating.  It went well with my love for shopping.  I just loved started with a blank canvas and seeing what I could make of it.  I am not a very crafty person but decorating didn’t require me to do the crafting…just the putting together.Rod Works is the most amazing store for putting your decorating talent to good use.  No decorating talent?  No worries…just pick something you like and it is sure to look great in your home.  Rod Works was founded in as a way to provide decor that is different than what you find in a retail chain.  Their designers and buyers are always on the prowl for unique and fresh decor.  Many of their products are exclusive to Rod Works.  I love that because it makes the decor even more unique!
I was invited to stop by their store and check out the latest and great products.  I was there for an hour!  I couldn’t get enough.  I probably made four laps around the store, each time new things popped out to me.  They had some pretty awesome things there.Christmas!  I love Christmas!  I love Christmas decorations.  At my house we have three trees and decorations all over the house.  I could hardly wait to start checking these out.As I walked around the store here are some other awesome finds.Kitchen goodies.  There were plates and decorations in tons of colors.  There were dishes, serving platters, greenery, aprons, tablecloths, napkins, cookbook stands….everything!  Even the display cases (like this bookcase) are for sale!

Look at this awesome teal color!  I love the vintage/ retro/ classy/ modern pieces.  I don’t know what you call that but I call it shabby chic eclectic.  They have great clocks of all sizes.  There are so many patterns and colors through out the whole store.  See why I was there for an hour!Then there was this great wall of iron decorations!  There are wall signs, hooks, calendar frames, large wall decor…it was AWESOME!  I was like a kid in a candy store!While I was there I picked up some Halloween decorations–a table runner and a saying.I also bought my sister a birthday present.  She LOVED it!  I picked out three plates and a great stand.  She loves to host parties and didn’t have anything like this, so it was perfect!One of the things Rod Works is known for is their picture frames and fun ways to display them.  This section is perfect for me because I just talked my hubby into letting me do a photo wall in our house.  (He has something against displaying pictures of yourself…he thinks it screams, “Look at me!”)  This helped he figure out what I want to do.  I will be going back to pick out goodies for Santa to give me for Christmas.
