When spring starts to roll in, I get the cleaning bug. It’s time to tackle all the clutter that has built up over the winter months. This year I made a box for my family to help with the task. I labeled it clutter and placed it in the kitchen first. I instructed my children to place any random stuff that they saw in it. Then I would sort through it and throw out/put away what was needed. I even climbed up and pulled down all that stuff that accumulates on top of the fridge. Does anyone else place random junk on top of their fridge?!? The box was already half full and it had only been a few minutes. This turned out to be a great way to get my kids involved in cleaning up the clutter.
The next task at hand was to tackle the pile of laundry in our laundry room. When I have an article of clothing that needs special care I put it on top of the washing machine. The pile has grown quite large over the last few months and it was time to tackle it. Thanks to my friends at Mom Central Consulting and OxiClean I received three product samples to review along with a promotional item to thank me for testing them out. Let’s dig into these three items and how they worked for this mom and her laundry pile.
OxiClean White Revive Laundry Stain Remover
Guess what fun thing my son did just days before my OxiClean arrived? Pen. Pen on my ottoman cover. Thank goodness it is a slip cover and I am able to wash it. I first pretreated the pen with a basic spray stain treatment. I then popped it into the washer along with my OxiClean White Revive. Pen was gone and it appeared to be cleaner and brighter than before. So you can see that the pen really did come out (see one of the blue stain on both images: that would be my daughter who is three, she decided it was a good idea to paint her own nails one day!!) that stain will probably never come out because it’s nail polish and I tried everything I could when it happened. I am a happy mama now that my slip cover is back on and the pen is gone. The cover also appears to whiter than before and looks fresh and new again.
I love the OxiClean white revive because it works with your detergent to tackle your whites. No harsh bleach needed to keep them looking white and bright. I love that I don’t have to worry about all the problems that can come with using bleach regularly.
I love a good liquid detergent, don’t you?! While I used to use a certain big name brand, I am happy to say that I will now be using OxiClean moving forward. This stuff is amazing! Another mom on the Real Mom’s Team said she loves OxiClean and now I know why. It works!! OxiClean laundry detergent comes in convenient detergent paks or liquid form to help moms tackle the toughest of stains. I also love the fresh scent. Our clothes smell great. Only a little is needed with our HE washer and out clothes come out cleaner and fresher than ever before. I don’t have to pretreat as often as I used to, because this stuff rocks the stains right out.
I was excited to give OxiClean dishwasher detergent a try. Our dishwasher is on it’s last leg and our dishes just don’t come out clean. So I don’t hold my dishwashers cleaning to a very high standard to say the least. As you can see in my image above my glasses come out foggy and dingy. I hate it. Especially when we are entertaining or have company over. My sister always comments on my glasses when she visits. LOL I loaded the dishwasher as usual and filled the dispenser tray with the OxiClean dishwasher detergent. I ran the load as I usually do on high heat/dry and was excited to see the outcome. There was a noticeable difference, yet not what I was expecting. I don’t blame this on the OxiClean though as our dishwasher is old, really old and needs to be replaced. I will continue to use OxiClean in my dishwasher as it does help a bit, once I get a new one I will be excited to see the results. OxiClean dishwasher detergent comes in a squeezable bottle like I show above and also in time savings paks that make loading more convenient.
After testing out all three OxiClean products I am a new fan of OxiClean.
