In 2015, as you all know, one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to read to my son more. Not only does this help his creativity, learning, imagination, and language skills it builds wonderful memories and gives us great bonding time together. I mentioned recently that I was going to be sticking to books on book lists and award winning books. If you are going to do something, do it well…right!?
Lost My Name is a London company started by 3 dads and an uncle. They were on a mission to create the best personalized children’s book. They wanted to create a book for every name in the world. And they did! “The technology behind it is so unique that the company recently scored the highest investment deal in the history of the TV show “Dragon’s Den” (the UK’s equivalent of “Shark Tank”). The team was recently honored as the FutureBook Innovation Award Winner for “Best Start Up.””
The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name and The Little Boy Who Lost His Name are the most creative personalized children’s books I have seen! We received one book for Blake and one book for Beckham. It is a story of a little boy who wakes up and his name, that is normally on his door, is gone. He goes for a walk and meets many different friends. Along the way he receives gifts from each friend giving him a clue to figure out his name. It is adorable!
Beckham loved reading it. The first time reading it to him was magical. It was right before bedtime and Daddy sat down with him. He read the story, voices and all, and at the end when the boy learns him name Beckham was in amazement….his name was the same as his!!! He loved it! A book about his name. He wants to read this book every night. I have even caught him reading it to his little brother.
As a girl with a different name, I always hated that I couldn’t find anything with my name on it. No pens, pads of paper, keychains, mugs…nothing! I wish I had something like this as a kid. As a mother, I love that my son is learning about different animals/ creatures. I love hearing him at the end spell out him name, pointing to each letter as he goes. I love seeing the excitement on my child’s face that he has a book about his name.
Each book is personalized and printed just for you. They are A4 size, roughly 8″ x 11″. The size is a great size for story time and not too big for a bookcase. “They are digitally printed on thick, uncoated, environmentally – friendly paper. ” The illustrations are absolutely magical. Kids are sure to be amazed at the detail and fun characters each page contains.
To make your book you just enter in your child’s name and pick girl or boy. You can even personalize the dedication page if you would like! For just $29.99…shipping is FREE anywhere in the world!…you will have a magical, one of a kind gift that is literally made just for your child. Unleash their imagination, learning, and watch their eyes light up when they learn the little boy/girl’s name!
Lost My Name books would be a great for boys and girls, especially those ages 2-6. It would make a fun baby shower present…unique and personalized with baby’s new name.
