No one wakes up in the morning and says, “Ahhh! I love making my heart work harder than it has to.” When your heart had to work harder than necessary daily tasks become harder to do and your body doesn’t function as effectively as it should. As most of you know last year I lost 50 lbs. Not only did this help me feel better about -myself but it has helped my heart tons! I used to run for 30 seconds at a time and have a heart rate of 179-185 bpm. That is high! Especially for just a 30 second jog. After working hard by losing weight and doing cardio at the gym I ran a half a marathon and my heart rate stayed around 145-150 bpm the entire time! Talk about a huge change!
