Heaven for the Ladies, Action for the Guys {Safe House Movie Review}

Do you and your husband ever have a hard time agreeing on what movies to see?  The ladies want the romantic comedies and the guys want the action.  One of you usually ends up giving in or one ends up enjoying the movie more than the other, right?  Well what if I told you I found a movie for both genders!!

Safe House, opening today, is filled with action, drama, and mystery for the men and Ryan Reyonlds for the women.   Okay…can I just say that Ryan is so freakin’ amazingly good looking!!  But in all seriousness, women you will enjoy this movie too.

“A young CIA agent is tasked with looking after a fugitive in a safe house. But when the safe house is attacked, he finds himself on the run with his charge. “

My hubby and I had the chance to see it this week at a sneak preview.  OOO!  It was so good I can’t even tell you.  I was hooked!  After going to the bathroom 3 times during the last movie we saw (thanks about pregnancy!) I made it a point to not get a drink because I could tell this was going to be a movie that I didn’t want to walk out of once much less three times.

Although the movie was pretty violent, hence the R rating, it was very good and honestly the language wasn’t too repulsive.  It was loud, as a shoot ‘em movie movie typically is.  I am sure the baby was wondering what the heck was going on out there .  One of the things I liked the most about the movie was that it always kept you on your toes.  Just when you thought you had it figured out there was a twist.  Even up until the end, twist after twist.

One of my favorite things about going to movie previews is hearing what other people have to say after the movie.  Okay…so I am eves dropping but I like to know what they thought too.  I heard:

“Very good!”      “Action packed!”     “Kept me on the edge of my seat.”     “Loved it!  I will be going to see it again.”

I said:  “Don’t try to figure it out, because once you think you have it, you don’t.”

Bottom line—This is a dang good movie and you should go see it!!!
