Compactness and light weight are preserved, thanks in part to the VC mechanism’s newly-developed moving coil mechanism.

I am a GFC follower, Eileen (Richter)
I found that the lens is just short of a pound, much lighter than most zoom lenses. I also found that the range of this lens cuts down on lens changes, which can allow dust and debris into the body and also lead to scratches. It also has a $100 rebate right now! Whoo Hoo!

I learned that this lens is perfect for photographers like me who want fewer lens changes, reducing instances of exposing the DSLR sensor to image-degrading dust, or missing the shot! I follow RMRV by Google Friends Connect!

I learned that handheld camera shake is the leading cause of blurry and unsharp pictures and the Tamron has an exclusive new Vibration Compensation (VC) system that’s built into the Tamron lenses and their design is much more effective than competitors at combating burry and unsharp pictures.

I learned that it is a moving coil mechanism that allows Tamron to produce a lens that allows up to 15x zoom but still keeps the lens small and lightweight. I also learned that it carries a six-year limited warranty. This is a photographer’s dream!

I would photograph any and everything! I have a DSLR and often take it out on walks with my dog, but I always have to decide what kind of photos I want to take and only use that specific lens because I don’t want to take a camera bag with me. This lens would allow me to shoot whatever, whenever!
