Bringing Some “MAGIC” To Your Children {Magic Elf Review}

For the last few years I have heard about the sneaky elf that comes to visit kids before Christmas.  Since I was told about the “magic” that having this fun little elf in your house for the month of December, I have had the NEED to have one of them come and visit my house for the holidays.

I was SO excited to hear about the Magic Elf.  I haven’t ever had one, but I expect one to come and visit my kids this year. This sweet little elf is DARLING!  He or she comes to visit with your family from Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve.  I have been told that not only is the Magic Elf cute as can be, but very sneaky and mischievous.    I hear they like to hide and make messes….I hope if they really are as messy and as sneaky as I have been told, that my kids will do a good job of tracking the Elf down and cleaning up after it.  You have to sprinkle the Elf with magic snowflakes at night to make it come to life. “Crackers and water are the tasty treat that helps lure an Elf Magic Elf to the home – so be sure you put them out at night while waiting for the Elf to arrive… the Elf will want at least one serving a night. Why crackers and water, you might wonder? The crackers sound like crunching snow, and the water is melted North Pole Snowflakes, of course!”

I wasn’t sure how to introduce this to my kids, since they are all a little bit older.  So, I mentioned asking Santa to send an Elf and they already knew what I was talking about.  Apparently a friend of theirs has  an elf come and visit each year, but according to my kids, her Elf is BORING because she isn’t allowed to touch it or play with it. The Elf we are “expecting” to come and play with us this year is NOT a boring Elf. You HAVE to play with it and love it to have it come to life at night. Our friend’s Elf is a Shelf Elf who is very much differente than a Magic Elf.  A Shelf Elf is not allowed to be played with and is a spy for Santa…different tradition. Our Magic Elf is very different.  She WANTS to be played with and loved!!  April, my “believing” 8 year old, wrote this sweet letter to Santa requesting an Elf.  I know it is hard to read, but it says “Dear Santa- Can you send us an Elf that is a girl and would hide and make messes every hour? My friend Sophie got one and she said it was fun.  I love Christmas! Love, Hailee April, Austin, Mia. Make sure it is a fast Elf so my dog doesn’t get it.”

“Elf Magic is the timeless Christmas-Elf tradition that has created special memories for countless children and families around the world for decades. When considering Christmas traditions that bring the season to life, it’s natural to conjure up stories of Santa… Well, the Elf Magic Elves have something different in mind! Through the years, Elf Magic Elves and families have created lasting memories of the Elfcapade™ adventures together. Children young and old look forward to the annual visits from the adventurous Elves, but it is the bond of friendship that is created with the Elves that the family will remember and treasure forever.

Santa allows his Elves to visit so they can encourage an upbeat Christmas, animated through nightly adventures and daily play, to help children create memories, have “good old-fashioned” fun, and reinforce the true meaning of Christmas and family values. A visit from one of Santa’s Elf Magic Elves will bring the wonder, magic, and meaning back into Christmas!”

I am so excited to introduce this new tradition to my kids!  I love that the Elves come in a bag that you can use to deliver fun little “goodies” to the kids.  I can’t wait to see their faces when they see the Elf playing cards and the book/DVD combo, too! I LOVE the Snowcase, it’s a perfect little Elf home away from home.  It is also perfect for storing everything in while you wait for the Magic Elf to come and play next year. I am constantly thinking of fun things our Elf will do and crazy places for her to hide.  I know this will be something we continue for years!  A very special Thank You to Magic Elves for helping us start a new family tradition that I hope continues for many, many years!!  REAL MOM APPROVED!
