What Would You Do With $100?

Let’s see as a mom my life revolves around housework, cooking, and kids! How nice would it be to actually get to do something for myself.

That’s a crazy thought right? I mean every dime I get goes to buy a new toy, or clothes, or diapers!!!

If I was given a surprise $100 next month here is what I would do with it: (well actually 5 things I would want to do…)

#1-Head to the local spa and get a pedicure and manicure. I am saying this as I look at my poor nails while typing. Oh they are bad!

#2-Take my hubby out on a much needed date night and get a sitter. When do we ever get alone time without the kids? Never!

#3-Head to the spa again for a massage. A deep tissue one. Ohhh that sounds so good just thinking about it.

#4-Buy some new pots and pans for the kitchen. There I go again back to the mommy role! But the pans are so old.

#5-Go on a shopping spree. Since the baby…nothing fits right and my closet is looking a little out dated. Seriously!!!

What would you do with a surprise $100 bill?

Leave a comment and let us know!

Tell us something for you and not the kiddos :)

I’d love to put it towards a trip to see family. (They all live 10+ hours away.)

Just for me.. I would put it towards a credit card and surf all the great freebies and sales on line and buy some great cheap things for myself.. perfume, clothes, candles, makeup.. there are so many great little things online to try but I never take the money out of my budget to try anything that would add dollars to my credit cards. A lot of freebies do take a dollar or two or a small shipping cost, so I would use it towards that so I wouldn’t feel guilty about those few credit card dollars and could enjoy a few tidbits for myself.

Ahhh…you’ve got me dreaming now! First, I wouldn’t tell anybody else about it, ’cause then I’d feel guilty for not spending it on something ‘sensible’! LOL…I think I would take a couple of girlfriends out for dinner and drinks. I rarely get to see them, and we ALL could use a little time away from kids and husbands and have a good giggly girl night! Thanks…it’s been fun to daydream a bit. Now it’s back to laundry…ugh! :)

If i was forbidden from using it on bills or saving or anything practical, I would use it on a couple of fitness training sessions & then a new shirt that was entirely unpractical, just pretty :)

I go get a hair cut, take my mom out to lunch, & spend the rest shopping with my mom. My husband will stay home babysitting.

I would go out to dinner and a movie with my husband, then buy a John Mayer CD that I have been wanting and let him buy the new Simpsons DVD set that he’s been wanting.

So many places for it to go! Right now I would have to put it in the bills to pay pot — sigh, though I would love to put it in my vacation hope pot!

It’s a toss-up…I’d really love to rent a nice hotel room in a major city close to us, leave the kiddo with grandparents, and have DH and I have a night of wandering the city, eating good food, and staying in a place I don’t have to clean up. But I could also really use a new printer so I could print photos and coupons and such, so I’d probably be more practical with the money.

If I had $100 to spend on myself, I would buy some new clothes to cover my post baby belly and/or get a mani/pedi. :)
