What Would You Do With $100?

Let’s see as a mom my life revolves around housework, cooking, and kids! How nice would it be to actually get to do something for myself.

That’s a crazy thought right? I mean every dime I get goes to buy a new toy, or clothes, or diapers!!!

If I was given a surprise $100 next month here is what I would do with it: (well actually 5 things I would want to do…)

#1-Head to the local spa and get a pedicure and manicure. I am saying this as I look at my poor nails while typing. Oh they are bad!

#2-Take my hubby out on a much needed date night and get a sitter. When do we ever get alone time without the kids? Never!

#3-Head to the spa again for a massage. A deep tissue one. Ohhh that sounds so good just thinking about it.

#4-Buy some new pots and pans for the kitchen. There I go again back to the mommy role! But the pans are so old.

#5-Go on a shopping spree. Since the baby…nothing fits right and my closet is looking a little out dated. Seriously!!!

What would you do with a surprise $100 bill?

Leave a comment and let us know!

Tell us something for you and not the kiddos :)

I would stock up on a lot of diapers (well not A LOT, because diapers are expensive). …I can’t wait till my toddler can go to the potty.

    Dari Perry says:

Dinner with the hubby, a new shirt and a trip to the movies with said hubby… it would be hard not to put it toward groceries or something though!

  7. 7

I would take a trip to Target and hit the clearance racks MY FAV. and then to Costco for some kiddie snacks and to stock up on FOOD STORAGE. ;)

    Katie H says:

I would totally go on a sweater shopping spree, given all the unexpected snow we’ve gotten lately. (I should probably save it for bills, since I just lost my job…)

Dinner and a movie with my fiancee. And then with whatever is left, I would head to Old Navy for some on-sale clothes!

I’m dying to install a second hard drive in my laptop, but I need a special drive bay in order to do so. So that’s $40 spent. I’d probably take the other $60 and head to Fashion Bug for a few tops.

So funny. I am the same way. My life revolves around the kiddos and housework. I usually use all my extra mulla on the kiddos. Forget about me all the time. Let’s see $100 I would put it toward the credit card OR I would go to Nordstroms Rack and buy some super cute stuff (clothes that fit my after 3 kiddo bod) for super cheap. :)

    Dezi A says:

My list would almost be the same as yours. :) I would get a pedicure and massage or just go buy a bunch of clothes.

We could really use a new bedding set…

  21. 21
    Cynthiia M. says:

I’ve been wanting to buy a pair shoes for a long time now, but haven’t had the chance to do so with all the expenses we have to keep up with. I would use the $100 to buy myself a pair of black suede pumps :)

  22. 22
    Tiffany Hillam says:

I would take my hubby out on a extra special date….to the theater or somewhere we never get to go!

  23. 23

I would buy myself a new pair of shoes (or two!)

  24. 24
    Kelsey Kim says:

Well, I wish I could say I would use it on something fun or relaxing, but right now, probably just go towards bills…blah. But if I HAD to spend it on something that is NOT bill related, I would probably get my hair done. It’s looking pretty bad lately.

  25. 25

if i got a surprise $100 the first thing i would think about is putting it towards savings/groceries etc…. but IF I HAD TO SPEND IT ON something other then living necessities… i would spend it on my husband. He is a jazz fan. I would get us Jazz tickets and go spend a date night up in Salt Lake :)

  28. 28
    Sara Broers says:

Go get my hair colored at a salon- not at home!

  29. 29

your list sounds like it would take a couple $100, unless you live somewhere awesome where you can get cheap mani-pedis! If you do I’m totally jealous.
for $100 i could get my hair done OR go out to a movie with my husband and maybe have enough leftover to get a shake after wards.

other things i might buy myself would be perhaps a BOB – is that a quiet enough term for your website?

just two things i’ve been postponing until i can scratch up a spare $100.

  34. 34
    Torri says:

Wow, there are so many things I would like to do. And sadly, as I thought about it, I kept thinking about things for my girls. Its not often that I get to spend money on myself. I think if I won 100$ and I had to use it on myself, I would go get the shlef I have been adoring for years to go in my scrapbooking room!

  35. 35

I would have my acrylic nails put back on. I would have a pedicure, a professional hair coloring, and a new outfit for the occasion … then I would gather up my best friend in the whole world and we would go out for a girls night out without any babies. AHHHH how refreshing that sounds.

  36. 36
    Michelle says:

I really want new pair of super cute black dress shoes. I a still wearing the sequeny flip flops I bout while pregnant 3 years ago because nothing else fit and they were cheap. Now that I am finally loosing my “baby fat” I have super cute skirts and no matching shoes. All the shoes I find I can’t justify on spending the money, but with this it would be guilt free!

  37. 37

I have been needing a new sewing machine for a long time…. It would go towards that.

Or….. have a fun date night with my husband. Dinner somewhere nice and a movie…. oh ya and maybe some ice cream after.

  38. 38
    Julie Cutshaw says:

I’d get a new hair cut & dye it and go out to a romantic movie & diner at the olive garden with my hard working husband.

  39. 39
    Kathleen says:

What a hard decision! There are so many things that we could really use around the house (the usuals like food and stuff) but I’d probably use this for a splurge like dinner out, buy a nice blouse, or maybe buy some kitchen chairs. Ours are awful, and mismatched in a not-good way.

  40. 40
    Jill Kathan says:

Oh the things I would do!

First go to Caribou Coffee and get my fav LARGE blended ice Smore’s coffee!

    Maybe with a snack.

Then, head for a MUCH needed pedicure.

Lunch at one of my FAV places.

Mall to buy a new sweater & jeans.

Whatever leftover – maybe buy some sexy lingerie for a Valentine’s Day surprise for my hubby!

    THANKS!
    Jill K.

  41. 41
    Christy P. says:

I would either buy paint and some new decor items for my bedroom to make it the relaxing space it should be. Or I would use it for some much needed clothes!

  42. 42
    Beth says:

I would get my hair colored and cut. I haven’t had either since last May and I’m looking very mousey blonde. I love going to get my hair done and visit with my fabulous hair stylist. She’s a blast and she snorts when she laughs which makes me laugh even harder :)

  43. 43
    Laree says:

I’d go shoe shopping. I haven’t bought a new pair of shoes in 2 years, and all mine are falling apart!

  44. 44
    Jennifer B. says:

go buy another pair of $80 dollar jeans since they are the only ones that fit like a glove. And I won’t be getting too many of ‘em haha

    traci smith says:

if i couldnt spend it on the kids, i would have to spend it on my boyfriend , have a illness where i hurt so bad at times i cant get out of bed ,he waits on me without EVER complaining, not once in 7 and a half years.there was a time i thaught i would never be able to walk alone,he would help me do everything would get out of bed and drive my teenage daughter where ever she needed or wanted to go,and trust me she was NOT a loving teenager! hes been my rock and deserves to be spoiled for one night!! so i would take him out, and we would have fun and forget that were parents, grandparents for ONE night.for one night we would just be traci and dave, out having fun and being silly!!!

I would put it towards a treadmill, I want one so bad!!

  48. 48

Actually we recently had our car broken into and my precious iPod was stolen! Poor baby! I hope it’s in a good home! I’d love to get a new one and with a $100 bill, I could get a pretty good start!

  49. 49
    Maureen Clipperton says:

I would go on a Shopping trip. My wardrobe is out dated. Maybe go have a haircut in a Salon as I have always cut my own hair and have carpal tunnel and it makes it hard to cut it anymore.

    well, two things…
    1. put it twords a SWEET scrapbooking desk that I’m only $125 away from…..

    2. I’m a MAJOR addict of the tv show ER…I’d get season 8-11 on DVD! When I scrap I watch them over and over again… I have a MAJOR jones for Noah Wyle!!!
